I rode my new sled last Wednesday for the first time. It handles nice however alot harder to turn vs. my Dragon with no sway bar. I went out again yesterday with no sway bar. Wow what a killer difference. This thing turns on a dime, sidehills bad ***. I tightened the front shock spings up a little tighter so it doesnt lean like my D8 did with the non spring Walkers. I think Im going to love this sled.

ya way better. I just hope this sled is reliable. I like how it handles. Power seams good to.

Sway bar... no sway bar... no matter, you are still a wild man! LOL
Great ride Friday!

Larry, I think Josh and I are going out tomorrow if you want to join. I need to tighten my track today and raise the bars 1 inch. Nice youtube vid. Its hard to see how steep that little hill really is on video. Let me know if you want to ride tomorrow.

Ok Larry you have a Youtube video:face-icon-small-con Were's the link so I can see how the new Pro is working!!:becky:

Anyone run one of these quick disconnects? Hows this install?

Is the pro that much better with it disconnected?

You should consider getting the "Sway Bar Quick Disconect" from Tedd Unlimited! This is a fantastic idea that allows you to disconnect or reconnect your sway bar in seconds.

I installed the quick disconnect on my Pro. I rode it today for the 1st time. The Pro DEFINITELY needs a sway bar on the trail, but YES it handles awesome in the deep without a sway bar. I laughed last weekend when I bought the kit from him at the Boise show. I asked him, "how does this work for the Pro, it already handles great" He said, "Honestly, I don't even know if it works at all. It worked on the Dragons, but I have not tested it on the Pro's."

Well Tedd Unltd, this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone. Just make sure you have a tool to chip the snow and ice out of the mounting bracket when you decide to return it for the trail home. It is a little tricky to get back in unless things are lined up just right.

Definitely would agree on the sway bar disconnect! installed mine last week and got to ride it this weekend. Run a sway bar on the trail, take 15 seconds before getting off the trail to pull the pin and swing the sway bar back up sliding the pin back into place. How much better could it get? The trail sucks without a sway bar, and does great off trail with out it, vise versa! so this is a cheap way to have the best of both worlds!

As far as installation goes, it takes about five minutes if you are taking your time. There is no permanent modification to the sled.

Thanks for the reviews Idaho Hot Shot and McFarkle, they are greatly appreciated.

looked at the Assault last night and no sway bar in it..Does anyone know if it'll ride/handle the same as the Pro with the sway bar out?If i really want this sled to lay over would it be best to turn the compression knob on the shocks as weak as possible before bottoming out?

Hot Shot, thanks for the heads up, I'm heading down to Big R and pick up another retaining pin, that way while the bar is pinned in the retaining bracket, I'll have a pin in the mounting bracket keeping it free of ice. I'll just have to knock the ice off the top pull both pins, replace the bar and pins and head to the barn !

Tedd, thanks so much for the great service and quick delivery. Kits are going on today! Very nicely done too!!

Thanks Bagger, let me know how you like it once you have a chance to ride with it.
I also like the idea of a second pin to keep the lower mount clear.

Thats interesting. I wonder if it will hold an edge on a super steep slope with it un hooked? I tested the balance point on my M7 last year on concrete and the balance point is much harder to reach with less air in the front shocks because as you lean the sled over the suspension collapses and actually makes the sled wider and lower. Tall and skinny is the best combination for holding an edge on a steep side hill in theory. I actually linked my two front shocks with air shock line and a center fill valve and ball valve to do a few tests and I didn't want to leave the garage with it. I did love my 97 RMK with no sway bar but that sled never went past its balance point like todays sleds do. Just thinking out loud. I would like to try this product and see what it feels like. Sounds like it might be fun. Its just money right? Haha!
