No Proclimb turbo for Xmas....

I've been hearing for WEEKS from Boondocker that I'll have my turbo before xmas. Every week its " call back in a couple days and we will have more info and a ship date we are just putting all the components together...." Now today it's "call back in a couple days and we'll know more". I am leaving on the 26th and my sled stays out west all year. I guess no turbo for me..... Thanks for f*#king me Boondocker.

Unfortunately it not just BD. Push has their head so far up their ***, I'll be surprised if they ship a kit by march. I still don't have a spare belt from cat and half the basic spare parts I ordered are back ordered. It goes on and on.

WTF is wrong with these snowmobile aftermarket companies? how can they drop the ball every year? If I ran my business as poorly, I wouldn't expect to survive long.

I should have kept the M.

ya good luck with that when i ordered my bd kit i payed in full in june and said i needed it by oct they said no problem,i had planned a trip to Co for december and had to cancel a week of my trip because bd did not have my kit to me until 3 day before xmas

Ya a few of us got proclimbs and we tried to buy 6 kits from boondocker and they cant produce any kits. Ive also talked to push but they say it will be late in the season before the new ecu will be ready. kinda disapointing. Im in the same boat with leaving the sleds out west all year, its now or next season.

call cutlers pretty sure they have kits on the shelf ready to ship..

I can understand if they are having issues fine tuning the kits and want to make sure they are providing a quality product prior to releasing them to the consumer, but if that is indeed the case why would boondocker promise a delivery date? Would you be as upset if they would have told you, " yes we will gladly take your order and we will guarantee a high performing low maintanance unit but we are not going to ship until we know for sure that you WILL be satisfied with the setup"? At least that way you could have chosen to wait for the boondocker or push kit or have gone else where. Either way it would have been your own decision and they would have been honest and upfront with you. Seems a bit easier to be patient when a retailer is honest and direct from the beginning. I certainly feel for you and hope it all works out....

Cheers

I thought about going to cutlers, iv e talked to them. The main thing I like about boonys is the boost controller, Im new to turbo sleds, so maybe the controller isnt as important as I think it would be but it sounds good, the way it changes you boost as you go up and down in altitude. One thing I dont like in boonys kit is they dont have a blow off valve, which looks kinda important to turbo longevity, whats everybodys thoughts?

Any of the big builders build good stuff. OVS, cutlers, twisted, BD, find a dealer close to you and go with what they have. Local Service is the biggest thing that you will need.

I've got the stage II... hallman boost controller... it works, but nothing special.
I've given thought to getting an EBC (mostly for the PTP button, I think it's a great idea), and that is one though you could talk to Dale about, he will add or remove anything you want. If you want to order an EBC & have him toss it on instead of the HBC, I'm sure he'd be happy to do that.

His kits are ready & shipping from what I understand.

I'm 8ish hours from Cutler, I'm happy with the phone service I get, but having a solid install & good initial tune I haven't needed much service on either of ours.

Cat is no better, not sure if everyone got their 1100T yet or not. IMO I would wait, it sucks I know but it will b a solid kit.

What I don't get is that boonie was the first to get their hands on the proclimb early this year. even had 2 kits ready before jackson for tapios to race, and yet 8 months later still no kits ready for paying costumers. You'd think they'd have their chit together by now :face-icon-small-conl

We have had 3 Cutler kits on the snow for 3 weeks now. Running great. I have an OVS that is in transit to the distributor in Edmonton so I can try it out. Just want to keep our options open and really unless you do the kit yourself it's hard to separate the hearsay from the facts. Crossing the border with product is really a pain sometimes.
