See sleddy & Bonz this is what I mean. People don't get it. Do any of you know someone who is here without proper documentation from Mexico? They are generally very "conservative", pro-life, hard working, Roman Catholic folk. They are much closer ideologically to the average redneck than the typical leftist American, socialist pig. If you're a conservative, you should want Mexican immigrants. How do Cuban-Americans typically vote? Politics in this country is a PR battle only because the voting public are generally uninformed and ignorant to the real issues. Must I edmumicate everyone?
I don't have a problem with hard working immigrants that pay taxes and live good lives... while i despise the illegality of them being here, I sometimes think that a larger problem exists, the logistics of deporting them is insane, and before we can start pumping the bilge bay we've gotta stop the leaks... secure the border, THEN work on getting the current illegals legalized, I'm not talkin amensty, I'm talkin about getting them on track, we can't afford to make them leave and allowing them to stay seems like more of the thing to do, just make them go thru the process, make them learn english, help get them fluent so they CAN pay taxes and contribute to society in a productive way... my laptop battery is about to die, I'll explain more tomorrow cuz I'm positive someone will take what I'm saying and twist it and misunderstand what i'm tryin to say...
I'll take mexican immigrants anyday. It's the 2nd and 3rd generations that are usually the biggest problem. The 2nd and 3rd generations are smarter and lazy and have figured out the system that the liberal left has created, to get their votes mind you.

This is the USA, if you dont want to do it our way, then no way.
This is an english speaking country, when the country was founded, even the french, had to learn the language.
Nothing is free except freedom itself. No free money to anyone! Welfare included.
We have our own problems, we need to deal with them now, not later.
We dont need to be the babysitter of the world, they made their bed, so let them sleep in it.
No amnesty to any criminal, even if they claim innocence.
Tax system needs to be remodeled.
Just a few things I look for in a candidate. When they break these rules, I change party's. Thses are the issues we need to take head on, enough of this conservative, left, right bla bla bla. Lets just get back to what matters most..............US!

What if the other party "breaks these rules" also? Isolationism will only guarantee our economical demise.

Excuse me, may this owned, uninformed person ask a question before I head out to the weeds? WTF is edmumicate? I know I am easy and that you feel your logic usually defeats my weak, usually baseless, arguments but I do have a fairly good grasp of the English language.
Back on topic, yes I do know several individuals that are here without proper documentation and you are absolutely right, they are hard working folk with many of the same conservative and family values that I admire in individuals that were born in our great country.

I saw someone on a post above me mention the tax system needs to be remolded.
That's for sure, I don't don't know why we cant just use about a 10% flat tax (except on food) on everything you buy irrespective of your financial status, rich pay the same as the poor.
From cars to socks you just pay 10%. You keep your entire paycheck, you don't have to keep painstaking tax records, fight with the IRS, in fact we could eliminate the IRS.
Do away with the inheritance tax, capitol gains tax and all these other unjust tax.
The last potential Presidential canidate to say he was for flat tax was Ross Perot.
We cannot get anyone elected who will really fight for us, because you have to be very rich to even run for President, do you see any middle class people as candidates who have principals and who will not pander to big corporations, you would never see it, because big corporations run this Country and have all the candidates in there pocket. Greed and Power will always win as the prevailing influence upon our elected officials because we have let corporations become too powerful and too influential upon our political system. The drug makers, insurance companies etc are just examples of collusion between our government and big business.
Unfortunatley I really dont like any of our choices for Presidnet since Ross Perot. At least he would stand up or what he believed instead of just being lip service.

I don't get it.
Why do I always hear people say there are only 2 options.
Deport them all right now, or give them amnesty.
It took us 30 years to get here. We arn't getting back overnight.
All they would have to do is use the E-verify system and take the jobs away.
Once the jobs are gone, those hard working tax paying criminals will go home. Those that are left we can round up and deport over time. It will take YEARS to get our country back.
There is one and ONLY one way I would accept them letting the criminals stay and get a path to citizenship. That is if they bar those people from EVER sponcering or bringing into this country ANYONE other than wife, husband, daughter or son (childeren under the age of 18 ONLY).
As for the boarder. I don't care if they have to put MINES on the darn thing, secure it NOW!
kinda my point ollie, the hard right wants deportations and the hard left wants amnesty... Mac's advocating securing the border and then figuring out what to do after the leak is fixed... it's that simple...

And yet he voted to strip the funding from the fence, is going with bush to cut the boarder funding by 33% and his idea of what to do with the illigals already here is give them amnesty. He has already stated "after" he secures the boarder he will go with amnesty.

Get the companies that bypass the immigration laws concerning hiring practices. I don't know if you saw the video of the lawyers telling the tech companies how to get cheap high tech labour by ignoring the laws or going around them. To qoate one of the lawyers "the immigration laws are easy to get around, you can hire who ever you want, at what ever wage you want and we can show you how".
