No it's not for hemroids!

I wanted something a little fancier similar to this:

http://www.rescueproducts.co.uk/products/lifting_bags.php

I got the idea from seeing an airbag that was used to do paintless dent repair in a car door panel. A flat bag was stuck down beside the window and inflated to give room to work the tools down the gap. This bag would be nice as they come in rectangle or square and have a hand pump like the ones for the blood pressure equipment. You could pump up or down on the trail to your liking.

The price was right for the tire tube though, from my local Princess Auto store.

I'm an autobody guy, and that was EXACTLY what I thought of when I first read your thread. A thin square bladder that you could remotely fill. Great idea, once again...

Looks like I good idea, if you sit down a lot. I'm not hacking on anyone, but riding in the mtns, you really don't sit that much, so probably would be useless if you are climbing and boondocking....just my 2 cents...

Thanks for the positive feedback, if anyone trys this or improves on it, let us know the results. :p

ps: The seat went on fine and I did blow it up alot as I am not carrying a pump with me on the trail so this way I can let air out as I go to find the sweet spot. The sides of these seats do bow out some. I think they would do well with a heat gun on the base and then bend in a bit to narrow them.

Anybody got a good hot water bottle? rectangle and could hold air?

Rode this weekend and this worked great! Had to let a bit of air out as it was bowing the seat too much and the latch to hold the seat on was not holding. With the drop of pressure to about 2/3 full, this was good. Very noticable in the seat of the pants.:D

:D I was about to spend 350.00 dollars on the RS high rise for the XP when I saw your idea, found an 8" wheelbarrow tube at Harbor Freight for 2.49. I think that you just saved me 347.00 dollars, thanks great idea.

it's like a fox float for your butt! you should call it the "Donkey Float"!!! good idea.

Update:

This has turned out to be a must doo mod for the XP. It makes a huge difference and after using a heat gun to warm the base plate and bend in the front sides, the seat fits better than stock. Many we have seen have a big gap under the front sides of the seat that push into your legs. You will ove the taller 1-2 inches and the foam doesn't feel like its packing down now.
