No BS how are the 2013 motors doing?

2013 only please....everything else has been beaten to death for better or worse.

Let's keep this on track...I would say results are promising so far.

My buddy just called me, His 2013 Pro just blew a cylinder skirt out the bottom of the case. Around 1500 miles I believe. I hope this is just a fluke thing and the little bit of thickness they added will at least cut down the number of failures.

Interesting that all the reported issues with sleds are those of "buddies". Just saying.
I know exactly what you mean, there are always the friend of a friend situations that never pan out, but he personally called me and told me the details, but if you don't believe me oh well. Just trying to give feedback to what this thread was started for.

Any particular reason why he decided to fix it himself rather than bring the sled in for warranty?

ok no one cares but mines a 12 with 740 miles so far so good, just ****ty clutching and tps bog.

Most of my friends have around the same with no issues.

Cleared 1400 miles, running strong. This pic is from before yesterdays ride.

2013 pro 800 500 miles crank bearing went wrecked whole motor on feb 15. Polaris says no motors available till march 8 now they say march 15! Never ran hard, we didn't get snow till second week of January. Always warmed up, broke it in easy, never got a chance to run it hard, ethanol free.

There are a lot of people out ther that ride sleds and are not on these forums. That is why you get these comments. For example I know 4 people that own2013's. First an old neighbor of mine that I try keep in touch with, dont ride with him because we dont live near eachother, he has a 13 Assault.... I KNOW he lost a motor at 26 miles.. and I KNOW he lost another a couple hundred miles later. I also have 3 other buddies that I do ride with that have 13 pro's, 2 with 0 issues, 1 with a blown belt and blown QD belt but thats it.

But these 3 pro owners are 'buddies' of mine so I guess none of it can be true...:face-icon-small-ton

Every brand is going to have its issues.. its a fact. I have a proclimb that I love(I am NOT brand loyal), I know they can be belt burners, I sure want to here how others are making out and how things have changed on the new models, I dont care whether its your sled or your buddies uncles great grandpa, I want to know whats going on with these sleds. This guy just wants to know if these 2013's have improved, the more reports the better.

Oh did I mention we lost crank bearings in a 2011 last week? Sorry couldnt resist pushing you over the edge to Yamaha side!

I apologize for the BS in the NO BS thread lol
