Nitro track width

I stayed with the 15 so that it does not rub on anything and I have never found that the Nytro lacks flotation in the trees or deep snow. I think the challenger extreme will make a big difference. Just my thoughts.
 
I've got issues with my drop brackets, but the 16 in. track climbs better. If there is NOT a turbo involved it does'nt really matter.
My dealer put a 15 in. track with the same turbo as mine at the same boost on the same hill and mine out climbed it noticably. He is a hell of a rider and was suprised at the difference.
16 in. is a tight fit.
 
like was mentioned above......... i thought 15 wide would be enuff with the Extreme 2.5". That's a little surprising to hear it makes that much difference!!! I guess maybe Doo has something that works;)

Darko, will the 16'' rub at all with the CR tunnel?

No sir, theres some extra time for some grinding to the stock inner steel yami plates, and run some button heads reversed into the bulkhead in place of some rivets.
 
I'm running the 144x16x2.5 and love it. It is tight though. I removed the rivets that were next to the track and installed a combination of solid flush rivets and structual countersunk screws from the inside out. That along with some grinding and new bolts to the front steel plates and your good to go. I had to do a little more to mine as my Expert-X has more side play than other skids.
 
Question for those who have put a 16" wide track in a Nytro. How much clearance is there between the track and inside the tunnel? Any rubbing issues in a stock tunnel?
I'm thinking a XTX, with a track swap to a 16" 144" Camo extreme, may work pretty good in the "Cascade concrete" I ride in!

Nikolai, do you have any pics, of the mods, type of rivits, etc done to the inside of your tunnel?
