2018 High Country Limited,
Currently 153 x 15 x 2.25 stock
I see that a 153 x 15 x 2.6 80 dur is available, is that the Go To or is there a 3.0 that fits in there???
Could I swap in a 162 3.0 mtn cat suspension / track??
If you want to still ride fast down the trails and/or ride some marginal snow conditions where you will encounter rocks and stumps the 2.6 is the ticket. It has way more traction than the 2.25.
If you want all out deep snow performance get the 3.0 lug. The high country is built on the Ascender chassis with dropped driveshaft so the 3" fits no problem with 8T drivers. You will want to limit your trail speeds with this track and it's not as durable as the 2.6 IMO.
162 mountain cat suspension and track will bolt right in. You will want to angle the cap up on the back of the tunnel so the track can't grab it though.
Thanks for the info...
I ride mostly in Michigan 2.25 Good...
But Go West and North to Canada which Require MORE traction
So now to start looking for the Parts
BD97 said it best. Find a 2.6. It'll impress you over the 2.25 hands down. And not be a detriment vs the 3". Best stock all around track to date.
I'm also in love with the 2.5 Challenger Extreme. It's been my go to track for 15 years and it's just so good everywhere.
