So how many of you have a helmet light and like to ride at night during the week?

I didn't do much last year, but the year before that I put probably 400 miles on at night. Powder in the dark is pretty cool, and powder on a week day without having to take a day off is cool too.

I'm in.. I think I can find some lights somewhere, we just need some snow..Im pretty sure you don't mind riding with a Hawk.. Night riding is always more fun...

As you know--night riding in 2 foot deep powder under a clear sky with a full moon---FLAT ROCKS.

But a helmet light is a necessity. I use a lead dog--I got one after riding with Ice Cap years ago and saw the difference at night--especially in deeper snow where the headlight gets buried.

We had a good New Years Eve ride up and over area 51 to area 90--LOL

H20SKE...

Ummmm!!! I live right next door to one of your good friends. I'm on your friends list. Oh, I get it. You don't like me............... Well F you then!!!!!:D

double yep?

I don't know where you would? ha ha You trying to be modest?

a helmet light is a must for night time riding

take it from some who rides a lot at night , both on dirt bikes and sleds, the cyclops HID is the cats butt. My whole family has them now plus most of our ridiing buddies. They are not cheep but put a whole new out look on riding at night. Even the standard cyclops lights are good but the HID's are killer. It's like wearing a mini search lite on your head. I can loan you one sometime if you want to try it, they can be hard wired in (very simple) or they have a dual battery pack that last almost 3 hours.

I should clarify that I have the HID cyclops helmet light, and it is really good. It is a nice upgrade from the Halogen Cyclops light too. Though, anything on your head is monumentally better then the headlight.

I was just curious how many out there do night riding. I know a couple in my usual groups that do.

I might be game, have a Lead Dog, just haven't wired it to this sled yet. Haven't gone night riding since becoming an ex-n-bender 4 years ago.

What time do you try to unload by?

And yes, powder night rides on a clear night are awesome!

A night ride would be cool! Ya, right after we get some fresh. -00's
Definitely after some fresh. I did one last year after the fresh froze. It was good in spots, but man they were small spots.
Just add snow... Icecap and I have left NB to go riding as late as 9 p.m. :D
yep! I have gotten to the snopark as late as 7pm. It just depends upon how the riding is, the weather, and how hard I have to work the next day.
Ruff - are you back from Illinois?
yep, header should be completed this weekend. I just ran out of argon for the tig...

Never done it. Done some night rides on my dirt bike before though and it was awesome. I got my Mon/Wed nights free starting in Feb so I'll try to score some sorta helmet light by then and join in..

The cyclops light may be the "cats meow" We went to Priest Lake couple of years ago with 6-10 ft fresh light powder...did some noght riding in a hugh medeow...tore it up between the three of us...In that deep of snow our lights would be pointing into the sky no matter how I adjusted them on the IQ chassis. Front end is up high in the deep stuff...The cyclops may be the ticket.

This is where you get lights

You need lights? Check Trailtech out. Every team that wins the 25hr in Goldendale runs Trailtech lights. Red Bull Last Man Standing winners use, . . . well you get the Idea! Light up the entire mountain if you'd like.

We ride Moab slick rock at night. Unbelievable how much light can be put out with the right set up! :)

I dont think Ruffy intended this post to be about lights, but what the heck..
If your going to post stuff you should at least know what your talking about..
TT is a great co and has good lights
There are some very important diff. between the cyclops and TT product both put out close to the same amount of light..
Cyclops is the only lighting manufacture that supports EVERY 24 hr race in AM and Canada. we travel to every 24 hr from Alabama to WA
our lights have won the Baja, 24 hrs of Perry mtn, Glen Helen, GOLDENDALE, the tough one,Last man standing,ETC. ETC..
We also support and advertise on Snow West..
We also will bend over backwards to support our customers..and are based out of WA st..
Sorry for the rant. It just amazes me that guys will post up crap that they have really no knowledge of.
Whatever light you use .. just do it .. get out and ride!!!

I purchased the Cyclops helmet light and love it,its unbelievable bright. We do a lot of night riding,so it sure is nice too see where you are going while climbing or looking for the trail out.It drowns out my stock headlights on high beam and with the double battery pack it has never ran out of juice.
I highly recommend this quality product,I had a wipe out over Christmas where I used my head for brakes on a night time climb punching through a cornice and the velcro held the light on and I was able to watch where my sled went as it went ghostrider back to the bottom after my teather shut my sled down.

Cheers,
Dave
