Newby looking for patient riders to join

I will be the first to admit it. I am a newby to the sport.

That said I usually pick things up quickly and have been around powersports my whole life (just not sledding).

Looking for some other novice riders to train with who are not afraid to head off trails, get stuck, and wreck their sleds. I have been backcountry skiing for a long time, have been through Silverton Avalanche School Levels I and II, and am geared up to get outside.

Available every other Monday and one day per weekend.

Prefer Hwy 2 or Sno-Crappy I-90 areas.

Any other novice riders with reliable equipment who share the same ambitions interested?

I am in hte same boat as you. Just picked up my new M1000 and looking for people to ride with. I might be available tomorrow let me know if you want to go poke around the trails.

That sounds like what my plan would be but I have been hammered by the flu for the past 5 days. I am finally over the hill to recovery but net yet fully functional. Then starting Monday out of town till December 1. After that looking to go consistently. I'll check in with you then and see if you are still interested.

I'm in about the same boat too picked upa beater sled over the summer, took it out for the first time yesterday and now I am hooked, picking up a RMK 700 159 today.

Thanks for the positive response. I will keep this going and plan to spend some time riding after December 1. Still need to put the skid plate on my sled, after that when I am back in WA I am ready to get on it.

Same boat here. Couple years under the belt. not a lot of riding last year due to time. I did a few road rides as I was alone. looking to hook up with people this year. Not new to the Mtns, just new to sleds.

Teanaway, Greenwater, Mt. Adams. Teanaway, Cle Elum area is my favorite. Never been anywhere on Snoq pass, usually just keep right on going

Well if i may, i too would like to start riding with a group. The two guys i used to ride with got out of snowmobiling altogether so i am looking for riders that enjoy the sport and like to take on a little challenge here and there and put safety as number one. I ride the stampede areas along with greenwater and the little naches areas. I have a cabin down the little naches near whistlin jacks if anyone wanted to ride over the top from greenwater and stay that is also fun. I bow hunt in the teanaway area so i am very familiar with that area but have never snowmobiled it. I would be available in two weeks as my sled is in pieces (new front suspension).

Right on, I have heard a lot of great things about the naches and greenwater area riding. I am definatly going to hit those areas up too.
