New Years

Might be heading out West from Omaha, NE this New Years. Normally we ride around SLO or around the georgetown area with backcountryislife. Doesn't sound like the snow is worth a crap at either of these places - especially when you're driving 10 hours. Where is the best place to ride over New Years that is a reasonable distance from Omaha - 10-12 hours?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, gotta say you're not gonna be happy riding around here, go south.

I'm heading to crusty on thurs, I'll let you know how that is.

Doesn't sound like I'm gonna be making the trip anymore anyways. I'm getting the same excuse as always. Everybody says they don't have any money.

Unfortunately we are from the Midwest  (not by choice so save your nasty comments):D We are meeting in Omaha and heading west from there. Our choices are Snowys or RE/Buff. As much as we would like to go to south.. That’s just not a reasonable choice… So I guess what I am trying to ask is… Over New Years would one go to Snowys or RE/Buff? We already have reservations in Walden but with the negative feedback we are starting to second guess...

You could ride either area from Walden. It is a little more of a drive to the snowies, but not too bad. There is some riding up around Gould also. I am not sure of conditions over there. We got about 1/2" of snow last night in Steamboat.

J/K about going south. I'm not even riding but still selfish. lol Snowies and Buff are both getting snow out of this storm and no place else has anymore snow.
