Just finished installing my mtnk fix kit today and was telling a friend about the install. He asked if I changed the wrist pin bearings and I did not. I looked at my original wrist pins after speaking with him and saw there was some blueing. Are all you guys who did the fix kits change the wrist pin bearings as well??? really sucks if I have to tear down this motor after getting it all back together. There is only 1500 miles on this motor and was just doing the fix kit for prevenitive maintenece. Thanks for any advise.

Would u reuse old bearings in a combine gear box After u spent hours repairing it ? Would hate for it to break down while u are in the field and there's a storm coming in.....

You should also change your occupation would hate for ppl to think u are still associated with them pipefitters.

i figured seeing how it was apart an extra 25 wasnt going to kill me...

however i know they are on back order till late this month along with other 800 engine gaskets... imagine that eh?

Ya I am not sure what I was thinking when I put it together. Usually I alway go overboard on stuff like this. The bearing did seem ok and everthing was nice and smooth. If I do leave them in I will do a tear down at the end of the season and change them...awwww decisions...lol

Ya lesson learned, I am gonna run it as is for this season then do a tear down next summer and replace them. I will be curious to see what the mtnk pistons will look like after a season compared to the stockers.
