New track ? 2.25? Or 2.5 what would you do??

I have a 05 rev 154 currently my track is in good shape paddles are down to about 2 inches but not missing any overall. Will getting a new track at 2 1/4 with 2 1/2 inches make a big difference? Also will a 2.5 fit with out any problems? Also flex edge would I need to modify anything if I went with one?

Ride in seattle, most off trail stuff.

X2 get the 2.5, no modifications needed to make it fit as long as you're running 8 tooth 2.86 drivers which you probably are.

The 2005 had the 2.52 pitch track/drivers, you mention you have the 154 track which is 2.86 pitch. 2009 uses the 2.86 pitch.
