New to the Timbersled and need help

O.K. as stated I'm new to the whole Timbersled thing...we can argue over kits and weather I made a mistake on brand selection somewhere else please. Anyway I was mounting up my ski to the front of my 2000 CR 500 and I broke one of the fit kit spacers. For the record this sucker is really thin between the walls...whatever. It fit tight to the axle...I have multiple 500's so I tried another axle same fit, figured they wanted it like press fit so I pulled it in with the nut...snap.

Thats the back ground and I need zero help diagnosing I'm a dumb ***. I have my axle now sanded down to fit tight but slip fit not pressed but I broke the spindle reducer. After I did it I called Timbersled, their line was still working at the time. They gave me part # 16-RE721 and said to order through my dealer. Went to the dealer, they cant find that part number through the merge with Polaris...good guys and they are keeping me in the loop. I start getting impatient after a week and call Polaris, they bounce me around to ultimately the same story, can't find the part in their system.

I don't want to buy a new fit kit for a $20 part. Does anyone have the right side spindle washer in stock for a 1997 CR500? anyone have a local shop that stocks a ton of parts you can forward me a number to. Anyone have an in at Timbersled that can sell me a bushing for $20 or whatever.

I am really not impressed with the amount of material left between the 2 diameters, it is very thin and with the size of all the axles I tried at my house and the way they all fit this break seemed inevitable unless instruction was given to sand the axle a bit. All that said I will take full responsibility for the failure and I am willing to pay for my mistake...someone let me pay so I can get my part and be ready.

Again 16-RE721

Just a little help with the ski install once you get the part in...

The best way I've found to install the ski to make sure everything is true (since there have been people that over-tightened, me being one of them) is to install the ski in this order:

1. Begin by mounting the ski up with the axle and washers/spacers between the forks and spindle. Only tighten the nut on the end of the axle enough so that the axle doesn't fall out during install. Leave your squeeze bolts completely open.

2. Slide your inside fork clamps down between the forks and the spindle. Make sure they match up on height since the front brake mount will make one side sit a bit higher than the other.

3. To drill the holes you want to be able to slide a sheet of paper under the front center ski runner to about 1/4 to 1/2 way down the keel. Usually if you look at your axle nut and the ski saddle bolt the axle nut should just barely trail behind the saddle bolt. For some bikes with a bigger fork rake the axle nut could be even further back. Once you have the right angle on the ski tighten the axle nut tight and drill your holes. Usually I'll slide the clamp bolts through the holes as I drill them to further keep the assembly from moving.

4. Once the holes are drilled go ahead and finish installing the clamps and get them semi-tight. After the clamps are finished make sure you loosen the axle nut again. Get on the bike and jump up and down on the bike and get as full a stroke as you can on the front suspension. This will help set the spacing so that your forks are true and not bowed in or out.

5. After compressing the suspension immediately tighten your squeeze bolts really tight on the axle. Then tighten your clamp bolts the rest of the way tight. Then finally tighten your axle bolt about a quarter turn past hand tight. It doesn't need to be reefed on.
