New to spokane area...where the hell do you ride...???

Hey everyone...so i just moved to the spokane area from wyoming where i feel we had some of the best back country riding in the states, (afton, horsecreek, snowies, targee..etc) So arriving in spokane wonder where everyone rides..? Without a 2 or 3 hour drive where do all the local fluff busters go..? Also i need a new sled, sold mine for the move...

Welcome to the area. There is some great riding locally to the north and east in Idaho and Mont. Take a look on this thread CLICKY. Look in the Idaho sections of both Snowest and the other one. Hope the move went well. EW

The closest spots to you are Mt. Spokane, Calispell Peak, and King's Lake in WA, or on the pass between ID and MT off I-90. Calispell and King's Lake are both north of Newport (where I live) and if I ever get my sled on the snow this year I'd be happy to go out with you and explore (I'm new to the area too). I might be able to con the wife into letting me borrow her sled for a few days or a weekend.

Well, I just went to Lookout Pass today. It is lookin OK up there. Need more snow though. It has good riding when the snow is deep.
Priest River/Lake isnt too far from Spokane. Its good up there. You can always go across the border and hit Castlegar and that area.

PM me if you ever want to tag along.

Jake
