New to Ski Doo

So, we're thinking about trading a sled or two for an 04 Skidoo Rev 600 with a 144 track (For me.) I'm currently riding on my boyfriends/dads/grandpas Indy 500 Polaris that's older and whatever they'll let me ride.

So anyways, because I'm a girl and don't have extreme upper body strength, how do these ride? It has reverse, and it's in primo condition. So this would be my second season riding. I'm super stoked on it and we live in WA so the riding is pretty decent. We do a lot of sled-skiing, too. For a first sled, what do ya think?

Let me know, I'm not too sure how the chassis is since ski doo is new to me. But I've been trying to do as much research as possible. Any info would be perfect.

Anyone in WA, see you at the sled show!

find out if its a summit or an mxz. that will make a hudge difference on maneuverability. and the revs are amazing sleds in my eyes. they take at least 3 rides to get the hang of how they handle, but i really like mine.

well in that case, it will be more stable on the trails, but the summit front end allows you to play in the deep snow better. i currently have a mxz front end, and when i switch over to my buddies summit, its way different. laying it over in the deep stuff is so much easier and so is side hilling.

Yeah, the bf has a newer summit. I'm pretty stoked on having something dope for my first sled. It will be a lot of learning curves but I couldn't be any more stoked for what I get. I'm just leaning towards Ski-Doo for whatever I get..

i love mine, and i know a lot of guys who are die hard REV chassis lovers. my uncle has been so hard headed about polaris its pathetic. me and my dad tried talking him into ski doo for years. finally, he decided to try a used 07 xrs rev, and he rode it 3 times before he bought a brand new 11 because he loved the ski doo soo much. my buddy has a m1000, and he tries to trade me rides all day long on the mountain because he likes the rev chassis so much.

If its a 144 it should be a Summit....suspension setup will be the biggest factor is how easy it is to ride. Play with the adjustments to suit your weight and riding style, great sled!!

That's so refreshing to hear. I really, really liked getting on his summit. He used to have a cat and that compared to the summit is nothing. I work for a wakeboard company, so I met this guy who does ski doo police or something at Whistler in the winter..he told me get a Ski Doo or get nothing. So I'm glad, I hope I can get this sled!

Well that's super good to know. I really have been looking all over for the specs on the sled and I'm gettin a bunch of different answers. It looks custom on the style like it was wrapped, though. It's nothing like I've seen before

if you do end up getting it, get a set of ice scratchers. thats the one thing i would do to it that's cheap. if you will be riding on any sort of hard pack trails, or hard snow, ice scratchers will help keep the hyfaxes cool by the track. i melted mine down on the first ride last year because of the hard pack groomed trail.

Yeah we have these on the sleds now, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have them now though. I have never seen them melted down, but I'm pretty sure I can call my bfs dad the "king of powersports and finding good deals on craigslist" so I can assure you I'll be getting everything I need and more that isn't a turbo haha.

Be sure to take someone knowledgeable with you to purchase it. Many things to look at and test. If the seller is honest he/she won't care what you feel you need to do to make a good purchase.

Watch the seller, his body language, telling you he has something else to do and can't wait for you to do something, wanting a cash payment, ect. Get a bank check made out to the sellers name and what the money is for. You can get the bank to put that on the check. DON'T loose your copy. Get the address the sled was sold at also.

Just too easy to burn someone on CL. Congratulations anf good luck! Rev Chassis, IMO, has been the best put on snow to date. I LOVE mine.
