I am wanting to get myself a pro, bought the wife a 600 144 last year. I know that sled is more of a crossover and doesnt have the same rear skid.

I need to know if all pros were created equal. '11 sleds can be had but not any '12 models. Is the '11 ok or does it have first year demons. I dont think i want to spend the money for a new one. I do alot of tree riding and not much climbing.

I am coming off an xp and hope i dont miss the power.
 
I cant help you on a 2011, but I switched from Doo and I have a 2012 Pro and love it:face-icon-small-hap I still havent rode it enough to get fully comfy on it from riding my Xp for so many years. There is a little power difference, but unless your climbing straight up side by side I dont notice it. My buddies both ordered new Xm's this year so I will see how they stack up to mine. One of my other freinds had a 2011 Pro with 1500 miles on it, and no problems at all, he got a new one this year also. hope that help ya a little bit:yo:

Very little difference between 12 and 2011. 2013 has some changes and time will tell if better or not. In 6" of snow they seemed pretty equal :)
 
My 2011 is a standard RMK but I ride with three other guys on 2011 Pros and we have not had any issues with any of them. The motor mounts and injectors were changed in 2012, not sure why the injectors were changed but the motor mounts were apparently beefed up.
 
I and two other buddys snowchecked 2012s two assaults and one pro we all had new top ends put on and reflashed and I heard of other people having this issue in here Alaska. Polaris said it only happened up here in Alaska; they blamed our "cold temps" but i never ride below zero. I think it has more to do with the oiler not turned up enough or their fuel map was too lean for our low elevation. Most of us up here either turned the oiler up or ran extra oil in the gas. I haven't heard of anyone having it happen a second time so hopfully its fixed. I have read on other forums polaris turned the oil down from the factory for emissions reason. I would doublecheck that the oil adjustment markes are lined up and you are using enough oil per tank. I've heard about a quart per tank. Just something to look at to extend top end life. I am also going to get the piston replacement kit from RK-Tek they say it helps with reducing the side wall piston pressure our stock pistons have and piston skirts from washing out which is what happened to me.
