new to polairs. bought 2011 rmk pro. any need to do things

We did. And yes, doing it can be a pain in the tail.
I would also go with the drop in kit of your choice. Call Kelsey at RKT. He is a myth buster. :face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap
Have both ice scratchers functional. Always watch your temp gauge. Oil will leak out of your Y-Pipe and exhaust pipe fitting. Seal it with Permatex Ultra Copper. I am no longer in favor of any aftermarket venting. But that's just me.

Can you elaborate on your venting opinion?

We vented two of our 2011 Pro's and noticed no improvement. That's all I can contribute. I do believe Polaris has done an excellent job on the Pro RMK as far as venting. We have hours and hours of video showing our sleds plowing through head light deep snow and in no way will venting help. As far as foot well vents, I am not sold on those either. I have never (and never is a long time) had an issue with snow getting on the belt. Drive belt, or QD belt.
I am in no way saying venting is bad. I just think Polaris has done an excellent job on this and hopefully I am not bashing anyone.
What good does venting do on our 2011 Pro here in this picture? And this is in the flats. Not trenching up a hill.

Sorry, I will stop ranting now. :face-icon-small-con

Footwell blockoff's help with snow buildup.
Stock boards on the 11-12 needed so much boot humping thats when i got snow on my belt.
Indy dans long rod fixed my grenaded 11 with 1700 miles.

Mtntk top end and a close inspection of cyl. Skirts is a proven combo.
Updated injectors rebuild primary.
If i did it over thats what i'd do

Do your self a huge favor and do pistons and reed valves before you have a major problem

EZ Board inserts are the least expensive and most effective way to solve the snow-build problem on the running boards for the 2011 - trust me, you'll be thanking me. They also strengthen the boards and make your sled more responsive to foot pressure. The other big thing for me and my 2011 is the shocks are a joke and by now yours will need a rebuild anyway. Send them to Carl's for their revalve and rebuild.

Have FUN!

Just took mine apart last week end with 850 miles on it I always ake sure I warm it up before i ride it hard. Still had 155 psi comp at 3400 ft with a 13.6-1 head on it and the PTCW clearence was .009 i would defenantly change the pistons.
