New tires for my truck?

Hankook dynapro atm 295/70/17 on the dodge. Had em a year now great tire and its a 10 ply cant rave enough about em

Nice tires. I've got 285/70/17s on my 2006 dodge 3500 megacab srw. Great tires for a truck that has to go off road occasionally (we farm) and good on pavement, dry or slippery. Pretty decent on the snow so far too

I spent a couple months shopping for tires, real close to getting the Duratrac but the size I want wasn't availalbe in E load, so I went with 295/70/17 Hankook Dynapro ATM. Haven't been on slick roads yet but they do very well in the mud/greasy fields and I've gone through a few bumper deep snow drifts without any issue.

One thing to remember.
Good year is USA and the duratracs are made in the USA.

BFG is French owned, (michelin)
Hankook is Korean ( I think)
Toyo is Japanese

I recently put the GY Duratracs on my superduty diesel 315/75/16. I had the outer edges studded. All I can say is WOW THESE TIRE ROCK.
Had Toyo M/T's and got 40K miles from 'em twice but the GY's are twice as good in the snow, quieter(even with studs at highway speed), and handle WAY better. The Toyo's have absolutely no give in the sidewall ( you probably don't even need air in 'em Ha Ha.) Last week, I was pushing snow with the front axle, going up hill, for a long ways in just one wheel drive (open diff). I don't think I could have done that in 4wd with the toyo's. Not sure on mileage yet. :first:

I also have been a faithfull BF Goodrich All-terrain KO user for 12-14 years, great winter tire, quiet on the highway, and I always get 2 years(around 60,000 km.) out of them before buying new ones. I just wore out my present set in 30,000 kms. driving no different from before. I complained to customer service and Michelin only offered a small discount off of the suggested list price which wasn't much different from the full price I paid at the tire store originally. A day later a customer survey arrived by email from Michelin which I filled out very negatively. The next day someone from Michelin head office phoned me and the best he would offer is for me to pay for a new set at 60% of suggested list which is about 70% of what I paid originally. I accepted this and will have the new set installed tomorrow and we will see if they last any longer than the present ones have. I'm hoping I just had a bad set, if not they will be the last set of All-terrains I buy.

I would go with the duratracs as well. I've ran many different tires on different trucks over the years and these are by far my favorite. They are extremely capable off-road, but still have great highway manors. I also have a set of the Cooper Zeon ltz's in a 305/40/22 on my 1/2 ton. These are an excellent tire, but aren't near as aggressive as what you're looking for. Your BFG's will handle snow and mud far better.

A racer that our trucking company sponsors had a very identical problem with his set of bfgs. The only difference was he got the dealer to back him and they prorated him a set of dura's :)

Well i ordered the duratracs today. Getting 285/75r16s. Now the ? is white out or black out? I have always had the white out.

What color truck and wheels? Are you certain they are white letters? I just ask cuz I ain't never seen white letters on dura's.

Truck is white with chrome wheels. Just the goodyear wrangler part is what on them i have seen them with white out but i think im going to try something new and go black out.
