New Sno Free Sled Board for RX-1 / Viper - wider, stronger, less snow, more traction

Haven't ridden mine yet except in the driveway but let me tell you, these are the TICKET for the RX-1! A much more stable standing platform and they definitely make it easier to put the sled up on one ski.

We'll be riding tomorrow, and I'll give a better report tomorrow night, but I can tell you that these are going to be incredible for helping the ergonomics of the RX-1.

If you own an RX-1 and ride anything other than flat/straight trails then these are a must-have addition!

Available Now !

After riding yesterday, wow is all I can say. On the Viper these boards made it a new machine, even when pretty full of snow, traction was excellent, but sled control was awesome. Plenty of leverage to hold a nice side hill or lay it over in the powder. My son wears size 17 boots, and he was definitely pleased with the new boards.

Here is a picture with the most snow we could pack in - riding in 1 to 2 feet of decent powder - never lost footing once all day.

Here is Joa's RX-1, we found him up on the mountain with a smile on his face:

Love the boards!

I must say that desaign on the RX-1 is the best style to date I've seen from ANYONE, with the dual outside rail and the kick up in the back...awesome! COuld you make a set for an Apex with the same design? It would have to be a little longer as the cooler goes farther back but I want a set for an Apex,if you had measurements could you make a custom RX-1 version? Cool work gotta give props!

I promised a post-ride report...

WOW! These are the shizzle! They make the RX-1 so much easier to ride in the mountains it's just crazy.

They're probably the best money you can spend on this sled since without footing/grip the other mountain mods just don't make sense.

BTW, I have no commercial affiliation at all with this product, I'm just a satisfied customer. I gave Matt some design tips based on my aircraft engineering background but other than that they're all his boards.

Get them, you won't be disappointed!

yes, and yes - anything is possible. PM me your shipping address and I'll work up a shipping quote, and also a multi-order discount.

I have not fitted on a MMax yet, but anticipate should be no problem - the only critical dimension is at the front of the running board, need to have 6.5" between the tunnel and the outer rail.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as tho a good portion of the stock running board is removed/cut off to about the edge of the board coolers and rolled up at the edges. Am I seeing things or is this correct? Make some for the Mountain Max and I'll demo them for you this coming winter. :D

the mounts seem to be small. looks like they could bend down?
The rear corners are fully welded, boxing it nicely and trussing the rear, providing good strength. The front ties into the factory running board, no problem there, and most of the length of the board is doubled at the outer edge. In testing last spring we found no issues with bending, that was with big guys 200# +. They actually feel stronger than the stock boards.

That's pretty much the case, although not too much is removed. The outer factory rolled edge is cut loose, and some material is removed, here is what it looks like after initial material removed, and the outer edge pulled out.

These should work great on a Mtn Max, as long as the front width is 6.5 inches inside.
