New sled deals west coast

I have been poking around to see if there are any true deals to be had. I am after a specific sled. I have found a couple. I called one dealer and they were still at full buck minus the current rebate. I laughed. This dealer is sitting on about 50 sleds too. 🤦🏼

Only reason I say that is because it's tough to sell new sleds if giving holdovers away. New sleds are trickling in.
That's the point. Current sleds are on free floor while non-currents are racking up interest. Sound practice to clear out interest bearing inventory first.

They can keep them!! They need to sale sleds a lot more than I need to buy them. And they wonder why people drive to buy a sled.

Ya I’m driving 6 hours each way for the mod sled I wanted. This dealer has matching sleds to my local dealer but atleast 3k cheaper if not more for brand new holdovers. Found comparible mod sleds to what I got for 7k more than I paid with 800+ miles on them.

most dealers these days are nuts wanting top dollar for everything and willing to eat “lot fees” (insurance, interest etc). They can justify it because they just bend people over on service and make a killing paying low wages to mechanics then Charging customers an arm leg and kidney.

I wonder what a holdover Boost from Carl's with a 900 added to it would cost compared to a 2025.

Wonder how the 900 with a stock crank compares to the 9r under boost

The carls kit is $3800 for parts (an afternoon job for some but weekend job for most) to turn your 850 boost into a 900 boost. And requires 101 LL fuel to run it. Burandt builds the carls 900 kit on stock boost sleds if that says anything instead or turning a 9R into boost with a boondocker kit that they sell.

Or you can buy a 9R and add a silber turbo kit to it which can be ran on pump gas. That turbo kit I think is $3750 takes a few hours to install easy for anyone.

Personally I think turning an 850 boost into a carls 900 boost would be better. Stronger crank designed for boost vs the 9R crank lightened for fast revving probably would take boost just fine but I would feel more confident in the carls 900 kit on stock crank vs 9R on turbo.

Carls has a few 24’ boost left with 7s in 165’s and 155’s for about 20k so $24k to make it a 900 if you did install yourself and the new 25’ comparable sled is $23k without the 900 kit. So $1000 more to get a fresh 24’ 900 boost

Pretty compelling. Probably worth paying Carl's to do the labor at that point for some piece of mind. I wonder if I'd prefer a light crank 850 to a stock crank 900. But definitely not going to trust that under boost until someone else does. (Let's be real. Im just gonna buy a holdover and another year of warranty)

Just picked up a holdover 23 boost 155, all black, for 18204.54 otd, tax, title, license.
Felt it was a decent deal or I wouldn't have drove 500mi to get it.
Now I'm sure my local dealer will not be happy when I drag it in to get warranty work done.

How much was the tax?
(We don’t have any state tax in AK)

All-Terrain in GJ, CO has a bunch of 25 boosts they are blowing out. Attached pic.

Last year on my 24 boost I ran a Carls 900 top end on a 9R crank with the 9R flywheel and a BD intercooler. Good setup, but I’m not going to spend the money on the Carls 900 top end again, as you are tied to the 900 boost mapping and can’t turn the boost up. I did really like the lightweight 9R crank & fly wheel though.

I do a build every year, so learning from last years build on my 25 boost I’m doing the 9R crank & fly with the 850 top end. Going to do a BD intercooler and Speedwerx mapping to turn the boost up. Going to keep my 24 boost with the Carls 900 on the 9R crank to compare against. For the comment about the 9R crank is just as durable as the heavier 850 crank in my experience.

Buddy bought from there and had a good experience there too. All Terrain in Colorado has some good deals but not particularly amazing on the boosts this year. I don't remember which dealer, but there was a dealer kinda on the west coast in Canada that had insane prices when doing the conversion between CAD and USD. They were blowing out boosts last year for like $14,000 USD no joke. Something to maybe look at if you can get a sled across the border
What’s the issue with getting sleds across the boarder??
