New sled and the PIDD quit already

Well brought home a new 18 axys and the pidd quit working already. Anyone have this happen to them? When I start it up it says booting and Polaris but then it goes black. Tried downloading new program but kind of hard when you can’t use the screen. Kind of annoying when the sled doesn’t even have a mile on it.

Second hand knowledge here but both of my buddies that bought 18's had issues with their PIDD units. Worked fine until they went to the GPS page and then the screen blacked out. The right combination of button pushes would get them back to the gauges but they had to take it back to the dealer to get the GPS working. They were told it was some issue with the memory in the GPS unit.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I can’t even get mine back to the gauges. Mine also went black when I pressed the gps button.

Try doing a long press(2-3 seconds) on the SET side of the mode/set button on the console. This is one way to switch back and forth between the gps and gauge screens.

i've pulled one out of a creek that worked intermittently but i don't recall if it worked on startup initially. any chance it got really wet somewhere along the way?

Mine did the same thing, had to take sled back to the dealer for an update/reprogram for the gps. Has worked well since.

Same here. took mine out for first ride, 0 miles on sled. Says booting, then Polaris then black. no combination of buttons takes the black screen away.

Well downloaded new program on flash drive and downloaded onto the sled. Got my gauges back atleast, gps still don’t work.

Had this happen to both my ‘18’s. Polaris is aware. Take it back to your dealer. They will load an update and all will be well.
