new ski doo, or dont?

Wrong foot forward was a technique developed to compensate for the old chassis of every make. What I have found is that I don't generally need it with my XP. Is it still a required manuever for Polaris and Cat two generations later? I use wrong foot forward less than I use my left hand throttle, which, too, has become nearly superfluous.

Never had to use wrong foot forward to carve since the IQ. There are times in very technical terrain it is an advantage on any sled but I have never seen anyone carve an XP with out all the body hanging off one side and pulling with every thing they have to get it up on their side. I personally can't do it unless the snow is so deep you could carve a tank.

It's pretty tough to compare riding abilities unless you've ridden with someone and it probably doesn't matter as long as everyone is enjoying themselves. I love all kinds of riding but if you think you can hold a really steep sidehill wall in harder snow conditions straddling both sides of the sled you haven't really been on a steep enough face.

Hope you can find better doo riders than the flatlander quebec riders you had on that ride.. You need to be fair on your assessments.. There are a few of us mountain guys on doos that can maybe have you scrambling with your poo

I was out by myself for a ride ladt week, i met a bunch of guys (11)in the medew that were all on bright t3s, they invited me to ride with them as i am a local and know the area, i took them to a side hilling playground ,a long drainage wall that was untouched powder, but littered with short trees, i went first and dangled on the wall ,staying high upon the wall, dipped wen i had to ,to avoid a tree, than when i was done ,i took the creek bottom, back to the group. 2 others attempted the wall and nailed the trees right away and got stuck, so i did it again with a big grin.
Behind that wall was a rolling hill, they scattered all over that hill and started buzzing all over the place, than began getting stuck everywhere, but a 13 yr old kid on a dragon was climbing that hill like it was nothin, it was funny.
I live in the mountians and most of the better riders in my town have left cat to ride pol, the weak riders ride t3s, are are always the weakest link wen they ride with us, now thier all buyin 850 and quacking about it, were told they cant buy talent.
Wen i go out in my local area, and the alberta doo stampeed has gone through, im amazed the awsome terrain they drive buy and leave it for me.
Iv rode a few times in crowfoot area, also doo country and see all the people gathered in the chalet or riding the flat medews and soloming side to side in the pow as if thier some kind of doo god, they bring their gf and park them at the hill bottom while they climb some bunny hill, and me im bored as fawk, and am lookin for a creek littered with walls and debris . but watching the daycare students is funny.
Maybe doos slogan should be, " u can buy our sled but we dont sell talent"

Its not a matter of making fun of them, back when i starded riding ,i graduated to the big iron, bought used sleds to learn, and as i got better,i moved up in hp and even went down in hp cause a tbo m8 was to much, i know my limmits and buy and ride acourding. Newbies think goin out and buying the biggest iron is gonna make them dan adams.
Its no different than buying guitars, im a intermediate guitar player, i dont go in a music shop and buy 5000 thousand dollar guitars, if i dont have the abilitty to play some hot rod guitar thats all tricked out , than im just wasting my money and lookin like a poser, i know people that buy expensive guitars and can play only 3 chords but brag about thier guitars, point is know your limmits, dont talk the talk if u cant walk it.
I had a family member stop in last week and drooled all over my axys, i was blunt and told him, this sled is way above your abilities, and suggested him buy somthing used or more tame, cause he lacks skill.

Honestly, you can barely talk the talk because your english is so horrible. If english is your first language you should go back to school.

You're a pretty big deal.... we get that now.

Nope. It's just nobody likes an arrogant jack wagon.

Nobody is an overstatement.

If your brand of choice is not #1, then you are riding a brand that is playing catchup. Which makes you more easily offended than you should be because your more sensitive and your "Fragile" male ego is getting bruised.

Fortunately my skin is pretty thick by now and I could not give a Fawk what others think of me, my choices, or my ideas. I throw them out freely and watch what happens.

Sorry you're still so sensitive, you're young, it will improve with age.

Maybe?

Me, I just find the entertainment value in it and move on.

Maybe just stick to your Alaska mountain riding..

Awwww the little freddy gave me a "bad" rep.
Fred and jay cancelled each other out.... Whew it was getting close there for a bit.

That new Doo...particularly in the Orange and white...is a face only a mother could love. That thing looks terrible. Engine specs sound impressive, as does the clutch...everything else is old news if you've ridden an Axys.
