Upgraded my 2014 Summit to a Lynx this year.

New Years Eve Ride.

Messed around, got a Burger at Elk Lake..



Nearly broke myself in half in this 10foot? Creek hole I didn't see. Not sure if the Lynx saved me or what lol probably pure luck. Pinned it at the last second landed tail first in the hole fell off back and sled ghost rode up the other side. Got some whiplash in my neck but otherwise fine lol.

Wish I had it on go-pro but my go-pro refuses to work in cold weather for more than about 5min.




Good to see a good snow year here so far! ( tons more snow coming next couple days )

nice pics and it's been an incredible snow year thus far here in oregon. we stayed at elk lake a couple of years ago and the snow wasn't the best but the lodge was cool.

Picked up my 3900 Christmas Eve. Have not had a chance to get it on snow yet. It will be a different experience riding a Finnish "cat" after 25 years of riding Cats from Minnesota .


I did get a chance to install the wrap my wife and kids got me for Christmas this weekend though. It's a bit less red now.

I have like 30% left on breakin on mine. Today was stuck fest lol... snow is like concrete here in Bend now.

Any of you Lynx owners know if there is Zerg fittings on the skid to grease? Been looking at mine and not found them yet. I could be blind I swear it has them somewhere.

Looks like they are hiding up in the front of the skid per manual. so ignore me.

have a 4100 here and the skis are so heavy they tip down when in the air. i think that will cause an issue

No I rode Friday the 31st and a couple times this week. Didn't ride on the 1st. Where is 242? lol.

Edit: also Still can't find the zerg fittings on the skid even after looking at the manual.. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong manual. Or it doesn't have any?

I ordered the man pro BCA tunnel bag. I hope it is a good purchase. I like it because it holds your shovel and is Linq compatible

Looks like you had good snow early eh?

As you mentioned, there are likely more times when "ghost riders" are in our favor than when not.

I have a Sled Solutions Linq bag I just kept from my 2014 summit. I don't have a spare gas can though.

How much did that bumper run you? looks good!

The front one on mine is the Lynx Explorer one, it was $205.

Hasn't snowed here in a couple weeks.

Whooped out trails were fine, never had any overheating issues on the actual trails but.....

Groomed road(s) to Elk lake, my Lynx was overheating constantly. I had to pull over a few times and start packing snow in there or trying to spin up some snow in the tunnel. The snow off the side of the road wasn't much better.

The scratchers really keep the hyfax lubed up, but that "Snowflap" apparently doesn't work very well on the hardpacked groomed road.

My buddy was on my old 2014 Summit and no overheating issues, I chalk it up to the snowflap/tunnel differences.

Is what it is But the Lynx no likey the roads lol. Its whatever not what its made for but was kind of annoying.
