New Season New Sled :) Lynx DS 4100

Any of you other lynx owners having overheating problems? I don't think this "Snowflap" works at all lol.

The snow is really hard and ice here now pretty crappy. Having a hell of a time with it overheating, the scratchers keep the skids iced up and wet, but looking at my old 2014 summit( who my buddy bought from me ) vs my 2022 Lynx. The ski doo has tons of ice and snow kicked up into the tunnel, lynx bone dry.

Hopefully it snows again soon or warms up or something because its getting annoying stopping every mile and cramming snow all on the tunnel.

First ride out with my Lynx, all trails. I started out early (too early), trails were freshly groomed and the snow was hard. I was also worried about overheating but it never did. It did get about 1/2 way up on the heat gauge meter but never overheated. I was suprised it didn't. I could see how a snow flap would catch more snuff from the scratchers than the 'thing' on the Lynx. Sounds like your trail condition were probably worse than mine though.

So I have a 3900 in Alaska and a 4100 in Wyoming and have been riding Summit X sleds for many years.

So far both the 3900 and the 4100 seem to pull over easier than a 165 Summit X. When I climb a hill, I have to really slow down moving side to side or I over steer the sled. After about a day of riding I've just about got it down, how much to move to guide the sled how I want.

I like the sled so far, but it does ride quite a bit different than a Summit X or Summit X Expert. I haven't touched the suspension adjustments yet but I think I need to soften preload on all of the shocks. I'm only a buck fifty for weight.

Just wondering if others have noticed the same sort of feel?
