New Ride?

Well, I am a little on the fence right now. I am leaning towards picking up one of the new Pro RMK's for this winter. I left polaris 4-5 years ago and haven't looked back, but this new sled seems to be calling my name. Any thoughts from my Utah peeps?

One of the biggest draw backs is PRICE! Do I really want to spend that much on a new snowmobile? Wow!

I think I should be able to come out alright on selling my XP.

So lets hear your thoughts. Should I get a new ride?

If you can afford it, then why not. Question is going to be is how many issues will it manifest this year??

How much better of a PRO-RMK platform will you get if you wait till next year.

They do look awesome though!

Of the many new out of the box sleds I have seen over the years, this one seems to be very, very well built. Fit and finish is top notch.

Plus you get a 4 year bumper to bumper warranty.

Plus if you are not happy in the first 12 months you can trade it in and polaris will give you a check for $1000. So you might lose a total of $1000 in this scenario. I will lose at least that much if I hang onto the XP another year.

Hmmmm.

Keep trying to talk me out of this.

Is the 4 yr warranty transferable?

Every first year sled improves the second year, thus depreciating at a greater rate and killing the resale. I have fallen victim to this more than once and never will again (that's what I keep telling myself). LOL

Most of the people I hear praising this sled are getting paid to do so.:light:

Best reason not to buy: They are F U G G L Y:face-icon-small-sho

Warranty is transferable. I agree with you on the other items except the ****ly part. I actually think it is the best looking sled out there.

I really like how they designed the chassis and how easy it would be to repair some of the parts if needed.

Who knows if they finally got the motor dialed in after the problems they have had with it????

How much can you lose if you ride it for the winter then trade it in and get your $1000 check from Polaris?

BTW, what are you riding this winter and what is the sled you have listed for sale on ksl.....not sure I know what is going on there.

Wow, seriously? Have you recently become a cat dealer? How did you end up with so many? What is REALLY going on here?:spy:

First year sleds are never a good idea unless you have large amounts of disposable income you need to get rid of....or your sponsored.

This sled should be awesome its the Polaris version of the Rev/XP they've had 6 years to work out all the issues and Burnadt says its awesome on his video.

4 Year warranties don't cover the very rare PERFECT sledding days we have every year where you get a perfect combination of sun, pow and peeps.

Lets face it if any of us had the money we would get a new sled too.....

what dose that mean you can trade it in I'm lost
you pay 11,000 trade it in get 6,000 and another 1,000? and what are you gonna trade it in on? i like the new poo's but i don't get what there saying

Just curious...seriously.... What does the new New DOO and CAT cost? Is there really that much of a price difference?

Isn't Doo introducing a new E-Tec engine this year? I thought I saw something on here about people who snow checked one may not be able to get it as DOO didn't make enough? Sounds like a great deal to me?

If Im not mistaken werent there numerous CAT owners talking about how disappointed they were with their 800's last year? What did thay do to improve this year? New light weight seat?

None of this matters for me as I will still be riding my old 08 ... if I could afford a new sled it would be the Polaris...

All Three are great sleds but all three will have their own issues.... ride what YOU like and you cant go wrong! ;)
