Electric Start?

Since the battery sits outside the chaincase on the SBA w electric start, is the belt drive too wide to accomodate a battery there? I would like to hold out for an ES SBA w belt drive but that might not be in the cards in future years?

The retail price on the boards is $250.00 about the same as BB's and others.
