Well here is a seat murray and I came up with for the guys who have a MCX rear mount that want to run a seat with a trunk and eliminate the exhaust and all the plastic shrouds. Your gonna have to modify you exhaust shield but its really not that big of a deal....turned out really nice and fits great. Update....weighs 8 lbs....the same as the MCX muffler...so there is definatly some weight savings....

I believe 1.5 to 2 inches than a stocker....its about a 1/2 inch higher than what I had last year.

You bet....thats what it was made and designed for...we just took it further for the guys who have a rear mount....I was looking at it one day and said theres roon in there for the turbo and I so missed my trunk and the look....so we made this. This seat with out the mods for the rear turbo is selling really good....murray has a dozen getin built now on the first run....if you guys want one call and talk to him 250 866 5278 Brendon

i ordered a non turbo, under tunnel exhaust seat from murray for my 08 mtx. mine is with a blue stripe below the top seat cover area and above the side panel. he said he was shipping it next week. will be nice to have a storage trunk on the sled again. cannot wait to get it installed and block off the hole in the tunnel with a plate.

measures 10 x 12 by 8 inches hi....pretty good area for storage...I got a pic...just need to get it down loaded

i'm guessing the non rear mount turbo will have larger storage. unless a certain someone shrunk it, when they farted on the seat. LOL! ski

LMAO...no that would be the full trunk....mine is prolly 2/3 still left after I cut into to enlose the little huffer Still alot more room than I had which was NOTHIN....plus gonna elimate a bunch more plastic, a muffler and so more weight.

The MCX with tunnel dump or.. well in the case that I heard it (no dump) wasn't nearly as loud as I thought it woudl be.
My Impulse is a louder...even with it dumped in the tunnel, under the seat.

But that was just idling in the garage..and we did still have to yell to talk over it.. haha So, its still loud in that sense.

Well on a stock tunnel loosing the muffler is the easy part....except there isnt any room for the down pipe off the turbo because of that tunnel cooler. If you got creative and shortened that cooler a few inches it could be done. You have to modify you stock shroud...I'm working on that right now...will post pics when I got it done.
