I love the old chassis, rode a 02 cat, thing just wailed down the trail (smooth). But fack I hate digging the old stuff out when they get stuck (heavy)

god i heard that i hope with all the mods i can loose a few lbs.

right on I like people who dare to be different as for the 1200wc motor you will never go back to a natural twin if the 1200 is tuned right. I to put a 1200 wc motor in a 99 rmk with a 159 and holtz coil over.This sled flat out rocks I am a big boy and now I give everyone a run for the money. back to the build I did not put antirachets on and i am regreting it so it is striped down and i am puting antirachet drivers on new steering colume,steering hoop,and going to beef her up a bunch becouse the 1200 is pretty rough on the bulkhead. good luck and have fun

I would like to say that some illinformed people are spreading rumors that finger tracks are the stuff. Also if they dig down untill they find something to hook up on your going to be going around like a farris wheel. FINGER TRACKS SUCK for all around if they did not every one would be using them. , guess what there not. Ill informed where did you come up with that one? HaHaHa Scott I hear viagra grows hair too, you know more traction for the girls in all conditions Man i'm slow on this one.

HardAss, you are just mad because that finger track did not work on YOU, scott on that mod sled did you have to roll the chain case, or just run smaller sprockets?

And just for the record im not going to try to say u should build one or ride one or any of that. i dont mean any offence to u and u should ride what u are comfortable with be it what ever any brand or vintage.

I agree, ride and build what holds intrest for you and good Luck with your project, just taking on a project like that is a great way to spend a hot summer, I am sure it will be a blast to ride as well.

That double pass cooler will do a great job for you with whatever engine you drop in there. They keep stuff COOL. My 1155 twin ran about 100-105° in the powder. Never got hot on the trail in either...usually ran about 130°.

My build is coming slowly. Just talked with Stormtrooper last night and he's sending me some drop brackets, 8 tooth drivers, steering post and I think a tunnel ext. Just gotta check on shipping.
