Big reason this is better than the Yamaha version is the drop and rolled chaincase on the king cat. Yamaha doesn't have the drop and roll. Guys are claiming 50 lbs is pretty easy to drop off this chassis.

i bet yamaha will have the dropped case for next year. is this king cat a sneak peak at '18?
or is this a late production '17 offering?
the hood looks just like the '17 yamaha turbo MTX.

What, if any, are the differences between the Mountain Cat and Hardcore? I assumed the Name was the only difference, for the region it is sold in.

The rails in the King cat pic look identical to the Mountain cat rails. Extra material from the peak mounting point rearward.

My source say the new 800 class motor was suppose to come out this year but durability problems have been plaquing the release. Apparently they cannot model the 800 after the 600 and it has had to be redesigned.

I have heard the rumour of durability issue on the 800 prototype as well, big shoes to fill, after all the Suzuki 800 has/had set the benchmark on power/durability. Can't come out with the worst 800 after you had designed the best. Either way lookin forward to the eventual release. Cats fuel system that they use on the new 600 is simpler and takes less voltage to run vs the e-tech system, witch obviously had drawbacks as well as we see the second generation e-tech fuel system with the second version of the engin now
