New Alpine Turbo setup drag race vid!!!

Although the turbo kit is well done, I believe most of the credit can go to Chuck at Lakeside for the motor work. I have seen the same results for the last 3 seasons with Chuck's motors...More power at less boost than the competition.

must have been a bunch of guys from saskatchewan :D whats the kit include thats diffrent than their curent kit just the header and control box? Oh yeah looks like wicked spring snow still :beer;

The sled flat out rips!!!! 17lbs. of boost 50/50 race and pump fuel. Ya Chuck builds a wicked motor, combined with Alpine's kit and fuel box it is a hard combination to beat. Hands down one of the fastest Apex I have ever ridden.

I was told the only diff was a modified 2871 turbo. Everything else is he same. I do not know what they did to the turbo though, you will have to aske Alpine.

Drag race

Who was the forth over from the far side with bad start but got it going towards the end?
Sounds like some 2 stroke in there??

Ya some composite carbon fiber sleds in there. It was Mark Dixon 4th. over running your kit Dave. Camera angle makes it look like he is catching me, but another filmer has a different angle and I am still pulling away pretty hard. Mark actually tried my sled and could not believe how clean and responsive the power was. Can't wait to get it out again next year now that I have it dialed in. Thanks to everyone that helped in the build, Especially Chuck from lakeside and Dean and the crew from alpine.:beer;

It is a 2871 Garret turbo with some modifications.:D You will have to ask Dean what they did to it. He won't even tell me and I am not going to rip it all a part just to find out. I don't think it was anything to major. I am just happy to be able to run 50/50 race and pump fuel and have wickedly fast sled.

Your running a 174 on that thing to hey Paul? Looks quick, I seen that turbo off and it looked real cool. Is anyone else in that race running a 174x16?
