well thats not really a mountian sled so yeah it will trench pretty bad if your riding in deep snow make the track longer 144 atleast helix is to steep check out some post here and you'll fined all your answers

it is different to keep it straight esspecially with 8 in of rise to the bars but fun as well and in the tight trees it is awesome the 1 thing it has going for it is that in the deep snow it wont stop it just gets really slow and I will check out the helix being to steep

What is the peak rpm u r running? 10-72s seem a little light. where did u get that gearing from and where do u ride?

Thats the right rpm for an 05 without the pipe. if ur getting beat down the trail it is probly ur gearing. that is good gearing for mountain riding but not so hot for trails. the helix is not too steep in my opinion becuz i run the same one on my switchback and love it! the secondary spring u probly have is the red/black. that is a pretty good secondary setup. trenching on a 121 will always be a problem in deep snow.

so do you have any input on some gearing to try that will help me on the trail but still be useable in the pow

I ride in wisconsin and upper michigan so my gearing will be different but if it was mine i would add like 2 teeth to the top and add 3 teeth to the bottom. ur rear suspension setup will change things as well depending where ur riding.
