Definately sounds like a scam. I just had a guy email me via craigslist about my street bike. Tried offering me $5k cash for it and then said his buddy picked up the same bike for $6500. Keep in mind its worth a couple grand more than $6500. Not even worth my time dealing with the moron. And then he said "I'm not trying to lowball you" LOL.

Yep! scam....would you send me 4200 for a 2000 bike? i didnt think so...

haha i know it was a scam before i even had the check checked lol. just letting you guys know what this dumbass was trying to do. in the emails he sent me he said he was going to send me a check for $2000 then when i recieved it it was for $4200 i was like wtf. and then i started asking him ?'s and he hasnt emailed me back lol

First sign is he's willing to pay to have a bike shipped for 2100 when he could obviously go buy a comparable or better bike for less than the 4200 localy.

I think they are exposing themselves more than usual; since it was from NC and not Nigeria,ect, the bank or cops "might" be able to bust their dumb azz- check into this
