I've removed my rear susp bracket and made some new plates. Trying to stop ice build up.
I was wondering if anyone has some good ideas for riveting the plate back on. I need something low profile so track doesn't get chewed up on the sides. Thanks.

Also looking for related info.

Replacing some bent stock brackets w/ some straight stock brackets.. If nothing else I'll just pop the 'flat' side from the inside. They shouldn't get in the way of much on the outside of the tunnel that far back. Rather be ridin' than posin'... ;)

Would any stainless steel rivet be OK to use here?

Countersunk cherrymax or countersunk solid aluminum aircraft rivets. Both will end up flush if that's what you're after.

+1 for solid air craft rivets. Sometimes called buck rivets. You'll need and air chisel and bit to install. I'd practice on a sample part before you put the air chisel to your tunnel; easy to slip off and dent the tunnel.

Van Amburg Enterprises sells a kit - includes 1/4" solid rivets and air chisel bit - something like $68.99 if memory serves - they also sell new brackets as well.
