Have a 2003 Polaris Vertical Escape 800 and the sled is leaking fuel at a startling rate. half tank gone in 24 hours. leak seems to be coming from somewhere between the tank and the fuel shut-off valve. drops are falling from the exhaust can side but i don't see the fuel pooling anywhere. what do i do to find the leak and stop it. have a three day ride planned starting friday and dont wanna waste time and fuel. thanks!

I would remove the air box and look for source of leak.
pull the airbox, this will pretty much let you see all of the fuel lines

Had the same problem on the same sled. It ended up being the gromet were the fuel line goes into the tank. Got a new gromet from Polaris dealer and fixed that problem

is there any chance that it can be flooding into his crank case as well?

Fuel gromet that goes into the tank. It's rubber, swells, and leaks.
