when i am riding along it will cutout and have no power and seem like theres no fuel. I let it sit and it will start up and run for a few minutes and it will become doggy again.

sounds like a stator or cdi good luck. also if it is a fuelie i have had 2 of them gum up the suction filters in the tank the best way to test this is to (if you have small enough hands) reach down throught the filler neck and pull the suction screens up and take them of and try running it only do this for a test if it runs fine by new ones dont be fooled by looking at them and thinking they are clean they are a very fine screen u can also put a regular fuel filter like an inline on there for testing purposes just to keep the bigger chunks out of the injectors also check fuel pressure the fuel pump could be bad

I agree with both areas. My stator went out at 1700 I was running a can which is hotter than stock exhaust and that may have accelerated it going out. The stator is a weak spot in all efi cats no matter what year. The smart valves is what those two pick ups are called. They will collapse, you can remove the fuel pump and take them apart and work the spring and put them back together. I have done this and worked just fine.

I have a 01 mtn cat my sled did the same thing I finally traced it to the kill switch!!!!! dismantle the wires of the kill button and see if that works? Sure stumped me for a while good luck....
