need clutch help

Ok guys first off im no expert on tuning clutches. I have a 12 rmk assault with the powder track pretty much stock besides a can, mds weights, and 19/42 gearing. I mainly ride around 1500ft at home so i run my weights to what Steve suggested which seems to work fine. My problem im having is when im carving and i really put it on its side the motor drags down at least a 1000rpm. Like i said im no expert is this because its not backshifting ? Do i need to change the helix or secondary spring and input would be appreciated.

Sounds like you might have a back shift issue if it is when the sled goes under load...

However, the first thing I would try is putting your stock can back on. Never could get my 12 to pull RPM with aftermarket can. Put the stock one back on and it was back up to 8200.

In my experience steve's setup is usually spot on.

Yeah it is when its under heavy load. I am putting stock can back on i blew out all the packing when i was in the mountains couple weeks ago this was my first ride at home since i got back. Ill give that a shot and see how it goes.

When you say "on its side", are you sidehilling? Cookies? Does it happen more with the exhaust side in the snow? Exhaust plugging will drop rpm regardless of silencer.
