Looking to start planning our big trip for this upcoming season - looking to get some recommendation for a Lodge that also rents sleds. We will be flying in and look to ride for 5 days. Would love to find a place that gets us away from the crowds, looking for that hidden gem if it exists. Western States or Canada - where should we go?????

Whistler would be cool....any lodge recommendations?

As late as five years ago, I would not have made this recommendation: Island Park

The crowds of yesteryear are all but gone. Great riding, hardly any people anymore, good choice of accomodations.......

You can rent fantastic cabins that sleep 12-18 people for $325 a night.....

Great scenery

Closest airport in the winter is probably Idaho Falls which is about 2 hours away......

Where you at in Ohio? Were in western PA near the Erie area. Rode with ace powder guides out of west Yellowstone and had a f'n blast.. bet we didn't see 30 sleds in 5 days.

Cleveland area.....we have a place in the ANF. We rode the Snowies with Cameron from 3c 2 years ago and loved it, just a long drive out with sleds.

Fly out and rent, is the way to go. I cant imagine making that drive. I spent less than $1600 for 5 days.

If you guys all ready have the equipment ... you might want to look into Mom's Motorsports. They are out of Michigan and will make arrangements to pick up a group like yours near the Mich, Indiana, Ohio area. You can either jump in the truck with them or they will haul your stuff and you can fly in. They get great rates on lodging, food, transportation etc. ... it's something to look into. They make trips just about every to every other week to some destination out west.

I always feel you can't beat Togwotee Mountain Lodge as you just need to fly into Jackson Hole. The lodge will pick you up for free if you are staying a few night's. It's an senic hour drive to the lodge and they have rentals and everything you need right there. If you are up there for a week you won't need to leave once and riding is just across the street.
