Anyone watch on ESPN last night? I just got the Youtube video and it is a shocker....2 parts to the video...2 undefeated wrestlers...sorry about the crappy video, its the only place I could find it online...flowrestling didnt post the match yet, only interviews.

Good match, terrible show of respect for your sport

When I wrestled it taught me discipline, a backflip on the mat shows the opposite. Like the broadcaster said "lets win right too", at least Metcalf just walked away even though he knocked him down. Anyone else think it seemed pretty cheap to stop the match for "back spasms"? Seems like a pretty convenient way to catch a breather, unless your bleeding or broke something wrestle. I once watched a guy pin someone after tearing the muscles from the bone in his hip.

I'm pissed about it. Iowa did NOT deserve to lose that point. That's CRAP!!!!!!!!
Caldwell deserved to lose it.

Hand it to Caldwell, he wrestled a GREAT match...but come one dickhead. Don't win that way. Caldwell got what he deserved from Metcalf. Totally. BTW, who the hell throws a head and arm in the national finals? JEEZ!!!

i thought the flip was what the point was deducted for... i dont get that one. how do 2 refs miss the unsportsman like conduct that caused the push?

On the broadcast last night it shows it from the reverse angle. Metcalf got kicked in the chest on that flip and pushed the legs away out of reaction.

I will agree with CLASSLESS on Caldwell's part. Who the hell runs around like a circus monkey - jackazz for the final minute of the match. Have some pride you joker, and just wrestle! I wish Metcalf would have punched him.

I'm all for Metcalf losing to make him look human, but he got throttled by funk. Did you guys see some of those scrambles? Not sure about the 7th grade headlock in the first 30 seconds of the match...WTF?

Glad there is some other Iowa "closet" fans out there. I was lucky enough to meet Gable and Brands in Michigan 2 years ago. Became an Iowa fan that day...

I wrestled with them in high school! They were a year ahead of me. I challenged Ryan to a wrestle off every week, never came close to beatin him. He was who I watched pin a guy with torn hip muscles, at the Becker Invite.
