NBA Playoffs

He did it with class, not with the punk attitude that the kids do with now. AND HE COULD CASH THE CHECKS THE CHECKS THAT HIS MOUTH WROTE!

Agreed, seemed like it was more of a "gentlemen" way of doing things then. Fights were between two people (not bench players) and there was no stretching the jersey to show off your number, very few tats (looked like Jordan/Malone/Bird/Magic didn't have any), and players were better role models in general.

That's my point. Martin sucks. And still trash talks and bumps into people like he thinks he is the best player on the court. Even if Anthony acted that way I wouldn't have a problem because he can at least back it up. Martin makes a block a game and acts like as if he just scored 40. Martin sucks and is worthless.

K-Mart was a baller for UCONN.....then he broke his leg in his first season with the NETS and later went on to become on of the best defenders for 6 or so years......but yes, he is living on past glory. Anthony was a getto punk in collage who never did and never will grow up.

This Playoff year might be the least entertaining year of all time (for me) , no real rivalries to get pumped up about...my lakers look bad, Artest still has his defense but zero offense, Kobe has the post broken finger holding him back, Lamar is playing 50%, Andrew is at his worst and it seems he will never have a solid season (trade him!!!) And our number two guy is playing 50% (he was huge in last years reg and post season, and the key to last years championship)......with all that said, our bench is a joke, hell, brown is playing with no passion, walton is walton and never got my respect, Farmar is still confused about his role......WTF!!!!

the thunder is very young, very fast, very strong and they have two guys that are solid....should be a fun team to watch for a few years

The big difference is MJ could back up anything he said. IMO, he was the best player to ever play the game.

And........we was a complete dikhead to his team mates, IMO he ruined Pippens career for the full potential it could of been. Many will argue Pippen was up and down, i would argue his mind was warped from the mental side of playing with many years with MJ

not on the court......maybe in a post game interview when a "self help" speaker was coaching words in his ear piece:face-icon-small-sho

But he didn't have tattoos so that obviously makes him an amazing role model. Don't pay any attention to that little gambling problem he had either. :)

These guys are nothing more than entertainers. Now, back to the original topic, Go Celtics!

He played for Cincinnati and broke his leg his senior year. He still plays good defense and fills a great role for the Nuggets. That's why all these guys don't like him. He is a bully, thug, menace, oil in water, whatever you want to call it, but several teams miss it (LA is trying to use Artest the same way).

If that's what you get out of the conversation. I'm pretty sure what was being said was that players have become a different image and the tat's really amplify it.

Possibly, but many (including myself) would say that Jordan helped Pippen become a superstar. he had the athletic ability, but he got better as he aged. He also struggled w/o Jordan. Remember that playoff game where he refused to come off the bench with a few seconds on the clock, and instead Kukoc made the winning shot?

Thats right, it was his senior year. Im not sure how Phil is trying to use Artest this year, but it does not look anything like what he did for the rockets last year, Artest was a bull and shot very well.....but, everything can change when you assume a new role....im still not sure about if phil is using artest to his full poitential

Oh give me a break, you just said what every other NBA fan as to say about Pippen.....Jordan groomed Pippen and beat his down metally. this act forced pippen to do as Jordan said and say nothing back, while taking away anything and everything about pippen that would help him lead a team. Pippen finally learned how to lead with the blazers (and this was a great few years of the Lake Show Vs the Blazers), but it was too late and he was too old

Remember the game where Tony Kukoc made 11 or more straight 3 pointers in a row, in the opening quarter......that was fun to watch

other memories of the bulls: Rodman owns the Mailman, over and over and over

Why can't these guys have issues? Afterall, they are men, just like we are. Who gives a flyin ****kk if he likes the horses, the tables, the hookers, the showgirls and the booze? If you had the coin, you would too. None of that makes us/them bad men. Now, when high profile players start slapping wives, poppin caps in other folks, chewing up the drugs and raping party girls then they crossed the line and need to be thrown away as do the regular Joes.

GO AVS!

GO PENS!

Right on PJ! I love the pens too!:D

Up 2-1! Denver, you guys are in trouble with out Karl. Dently has no leadership of that team and as "tuff" as Denver tries to portay them selfs on the court they are VERY mentally weak. They gave up mid way though the 3rd quarter. How horrible is that being we are missing two of our starters? Jazz just blew them out of the water and it will be intresting to see if Denver has any fight left in game 4. Deron is picking them a part in every way.

That was a great game. I worry about game 4 though. I hope the Jazz don't let their guard down. If dently doesn't make some adjustments it will be tough for them to pull it off. Go Jazz!

Sweet game!

I hope it dosen't go to their head. They alway seam to let their guard down after a big game.
