A noted psychiatrist was a guest speaker at an academic function where Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi happened to appear. Ms. Pelosi took the opportunity to schmooze the good doctor a bit and asked him a question with which he was most at ease.

'Would you mind telling me, Doctor,' she asked, 'how you detect a mental deficiency in somebody who appears completely normal?'

'Nothing is easier,' he replied. 'You ask a simple question which anyone should answer with no trouble. If the person hesitates, that puts you on the track.'

'What sort of question?' asked Pelosi.

Well, you might ask, ... 'Captain Cook made three trips around the world and

died during one of them. Which one?''


Pelosi thought a moment, and then said with a nervous laugh, 'You wouldn't happen to have another example would you? I must confess I don't know much about history.'

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district includes San Francisco .

Star-Kist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco , Pelosi's home district.

Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.

Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan work force.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy 's husband, owns $17 million dollars of Star-Kist stock.



In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25,

Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage.

This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition's.



Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an 'economic development credit in American Samoa '.

And I am not a liberal just not a fan of Bush and his legacy. Yes, he is in fact gone but the mess he left us in will be here to clean up by those of us who still have jobs for many, many years.

However, I do see an attack on past President Bush who had nothing at all to do with this thread until you introduced him. Oh, by the way, the mess we are left with and dealing with was caused primarily by a Democratic Congress the last two years of the Bush presidency.

I do not know who you are, you are correct in that statement. Your level of intelligence and the nature of your character are more than readily evident by what you type. Sorry, but you gave yourself away with the keyboard.
