Name on Sno-Park Permit

Just renewd the sled tabs and noticed the clerk wrote my name in the "Towing Vehicle License #" box.

I asked her about it and she said either name or license # was acceptable.

I've not seen this in the 30 years I've been getting Sno-Park passes and I know how picky some "Sno-Park police" can be.

Anyone else seen this?

It has to be the vehicle license number.....that's how they make sure your not using the pass for more than one vehicle. Or so I was told.

Yeah, a first for me also this year. I also asked and was told it had to be the license number.
So I asked why she entered my name instead........

"because it's easier".

Cricket........ Cricket........... :face-icon-small-con

Alrighty then.

They now have name and license number. . . and it wasn't that hard!! :face-icon-small-dis

?

When I bought mine the gal only wrote my name on the carbon copy not on the permit. She said they had to write the name down and turn them in to the state. Not sure why they changed it up.

Will us crazy canadians need this pass if we come down for a one day rip?

If you use a designated sno-park, yes. But more than likely they will overlook visitors. They do honor permits/licenses from other states.....but if I'm not mistakin' BC doesn't use parking permits...??

When we got our new sled it said my boyfriends full name instead of our plate # also. I am not happy about that and I will be taking it down and having them give me a new one because if he wanted his name on the truck he would have put it there. My question was if it has his name does that mean we can use it in more that one rig????

if you have a good lic agent just tell her/him that you dont always tow with the same rig i always get at least two. we lic sleds not rirg.... stop being a bunch of swining dicks and step up to the plate... thease people work for us............................

I just lic 4 sleds and 2 trailers they would only give me one per sled with my name printed on them. In the past we were given two per sled and even one per snowmobile trailer.

The biggest problem I had with getting a permit this year was the carbon copy. The licensing agent told me that they have to keep them until April and then send them all off to Olympia. I don't think that the capital needs to know who I am or what I drive. Besides, isn't it a little reduntant putting your info on the permit when the cop can just look up your plate number to find your info. Seems like they are keeping tabs on us or maybe it's to justify where the money actually goes. I know the Agents didn't care for the new way either. She thought it was a pain having to keep all the carbon copies.

I have no desire to post my name or any other personal identification information in the windshield.

35.00 bucks a season should seem cheap for you canadians when I pay 15.00 per Day to ride up there

That is not bad... i have no problem supporting the local programs...just curious how it works... i stare at baker from my back deck everyday so i wouldn't mind busting it up just to say i have:canada:

Any time you want to come down and ride baker, I'd be happy to show you around.

You are probably looking at the Bear Paw side if you're seeing it from Canada.

As far as I'm concerned there's no place better to ride than whistler on a fresh sunny day!

Have a great year!
