My neighbor is only blind on the busy streets!

She did finally look... Right at me!!! That's why I shut it down. There are times she comes by and has no cane at all. It's funny cuz as soon as she hits the busy street blindness sets in!

Wonder what would happen if the neighbor kid wanted to do a documentary or "needed"
advise on how to cope!?

She did not even look before walking into the street. I am assuming that she did finally look when you quickly put your phone down but she was almost half way across.

Shes "blind". How could she see a car coming?

My mom has macular degeneration. If you saw her you would never know but she's considered blind. She cant drive, read and other vital things but she can walk unassisted and act pretty normal. She said she can see outlines and light and make out faint images. When I come over she knows it's me but I think she uses sound more than anything. Guess my point is this gal could actually be blind and just likes the attention once she gets to a busy street.

Again... This thread is in no way intended to make a joke outta someone who has or is losing their vision! I'm sure there are many folks who have a family member/ friend who's blind and most of us probably forget how lucky we are to be able to see! I have no doubt this gal is a scammer! Sometimes she has the cane, sometimes the phone and sometimes she has her coffee and her little dog. No it's not a seeing eye dog!

I missed that key point. I figured she was talking to text. Also, I never thought you where making fun of anyone. Her behavior does seem odd. I was just pointing out that there are some other blindness conditions besides pure light outs.
