The rod bolts don't come loose, the rod bearing gets pounded out ,them it starts slapping, which stretches a bolt, the other one then comes loose and drops the rod cap,,,,and well we know the rest.

motors out cant see anything obvious was still some oil in the cams & valves look fine starter was fine start to pull the rest apart mabey in the next couple days pulled plugs was a little deto on center piston. but thats it no alum on plugs.will post some pics later motor out in less than 2 hours almost as fast as a nascar team .

unfortunately iam not the motor expert my buddy dave is & he was busy today hopefully we will have it apart in the next day or two.

To get your primary off, put some water down the hole and "hydraulic" it off with the puller. I know it sounds real stupid, but it works unbelievably well. Some peeps use oil, but I find it makes too much of a mess and water does just as well.

I'll bet that crank can be welded and reground. If it were a 350 chev., it'd be 169 bucks. Still, a custom crank, welded and reground, the rest polished, shouldn't be that much. And a rod. That blueing didn't happen from the rod failure. It's normal. What is the conclusion, as to reason for rod failure?

Ouch, buddy! That sucks! But, on the bright side, 600 kms boosted is AMAZING! You'll have that thing up and running in no time!

Good luck man! Hopefully she runs as strong as ever!
