well it is a sad day today all these years never been towed out, my sled is dead.was running incredible everything perfect did a climb up a steep little hill came back down stop at the bottom of the hill, was watching my buddy crash into the trees so i reach down to shut the motor off & it just stopped.went to turn over because i thought it stalled but it seized cant turn the clutch.it never made a noise nothing af was at 11, 112 oct fuel was only at 15lbs it was climbing like crazy was not to hot though had just taken a break.really strange that there was no warning noises not sure what failed but it dont look good oil on the snow under the sled so it could be a rod.:(have to go rescue it tomorrow & will be taking it apart this week oh & we finally got some sun great timing:mad:.

Thats too bad Vector, i have watched that sled since BIS in 05 and she ripped then. I loved how you were spanking sleds at superbowl and you weren't even competing, LOL. I hope you get her back on the snow soon. One of a kind !

over 6000km all on boost.i will get it back working hopefully this winter:( real curious to see what happened since it was working so well just pulled about 14lbs boost on a steep little climb went up it like nothing, wasnt working it hard af perfect checked oil & coolant after all good.obviously a mechanical failer of some kind cant beleave one of my Carrillo rods failed i hope not but by the oil under the sled it would be my first guess hole in the block somewhere.will let you guys know what happened when i get it appart.

Bummer

It sucks when your ride goes down and theres snow to be had, I hope you have good luck and have it running soon. Dino

If you can find the jerkoffs who stole my sled I'm sure they will be parting out my Vector with 270 miles on it. That'd be a good motor for ya. If you do business with them kick them in the balls for me after you get the motor.

iam hoping it is that but with all the oil i dont think it would be but we are just heading out to get it now.thanks guys

well got the sled home thanks to my freind & a bit of hard work thanks guys.at this point it looks like it may have been my fault in a way. found out where the oil was coming from:mad:the little drain screw just under the filter came loose so more than likely it stuck a piston from lack of oil so there is no hole in the case so that is a good thing.but the sump is still full so iam not sure what happened for sure yet but my guess would be the pump ran out of oil to get to the piston so hopefully the crank & rods are ok.

Wheres your PICS?Once spring rolls around and you get the boat in the water your can pay us back with a crab/prawns feed
