My sled weight

With the Timbersled front end, Floats up front, lightweight batter, CR Racing hood and headlight bracket, this Apex is now sitting at under 615 lbs full. Not bad for fourstroke reliability.

Now that's a nice looking sled on the outside and on the inside! ;)

There is a guy above listed his TM1000 with 300hp, at 567lbs and a 1.89 power/wt ratio. What is your Tapex power/wt. ratio?

My wife needs to get a second job so I can afford a turbo for my Apex.

That was my TM10:D My buddies TApex with a 50/50 mix of fuel and pushing 275 hp is at 2.24 lbs per hp. Like I said, pretty nice for 4 stroke reliability.

Boost Challenge!

AAAHHHH..yeah...I should have notice that you posted both threads.

Snowest needs to do a Deep Powder Challenge - Boost Edition. Put a boosted Apex/Nytro, M1000/M8, Dragon and XP against each other and see who is the king of the hill. Weigh them, Dyno them and most important, compete on the mountain. I will gladly help by being a test rider! :D

ahh that's a good idea environmentalist, i'd deffinatly read that article.
and i want to go riding with you if you ever turbo/supercharge your apex :D that thing would be a blast to watch.

What rear suspension does the Apex have. Thanks.

so we are talking 11 pounds diff.......

lets see.......How much does a gallon of oil weigh?... and how much does the coolant in the sled weigh..... just curious!

I'll bet they were pretty close with the published #'s

Yeah, and the stock XP's also don't have a lightweight seat, and they have a headlight and taillight. The coolant and oil don't make up the weight.

stock XP seat weighs 7lbs 2oz
gallon of oil weighs 7lbs 14oz
tailight assy weighs 7oz

I'm not sure where i'm going with this other than to say, XP's came in very close to the published weights.... within a couple pounds... couple being 2 or 3 and my 09xpx 154 full of everything w/ electric start and an HPS can weighs in at 522#

I find it funny that the Doo dry weight figure for that sled (right off their website) is 439 lbs. I like that doo's dry weights always seem so low but are out to lunch.

Maybe it's not DOO,,,, It's YOU... You might not know what DRY weight really is... NO oil, gas, water, grease, not even oil in the shocks. They are pretty close. And all the manufactures do the same thing.

Doo is the only one that empties absolutely everything out for the dry weight. Using the above figures, yours should be about at published doo dry weight, with all your mods on it. Doo dry weights are usually modified by the BS factor.

There are plenty of threads on here with the actual weight of the XP's and all the others. The weights of the XP's are correct or at worst damn close, you're just a douche that has some stick up his ***.

I'll jump in the mix.......I weighed my 07 M1000 @ Felkers in Loveland with Lynn and Calvin as witness':

Full Wet.......all fluids topped off: 556lbs.
Without fuel: 482lbs. (11.4 gal X 6.5 lb / gal = 74.1 lbs.)

Granted there are many lighter sleds but, I'll be happy I'm sure. She rocked last year and it was about 25 pounds heavier!

Do the "snow dance"!!! We need it!

and you dont think that they all cheat the same (except yamaha...they are not lieing...no point , as they are not trying to be the lightest...just the best! lmao!! gonna piss a few off..o well.. probably no yammi this year for me, but still the best(just alot more $$$ to be the best!!)
