Just hung my sled from the scales... It is a 08 163 Summit X. No head light, light weight seat. Tail light fell off. No tool kit, no extra belt. 0 gas. Full of oil & the rest of the fluids. 450 lbs.

Please don't give me any crap about not having any gas,,,,, I know we don't ride that way.... I trust you can do the math. In fact I am going to fill it for a ride tomorrow...
Oh I forgot to add 2 oz for the flame sticker...:) More beer.. :beer;

We are going to try the Snowy Range. I will let you know

My 07' M8 weighed in like yours at 448. Total of 533 ready to ride.

533 - 448 = 85 lbs. 6 X 11 = 66 for gas. Seems like you have ALOT O GAS.

Mine is 450 + 66 = 516 I guess you are close 17 lbs heavy.

I light sled is all the difference.... What light weight things did you do for your cat?

We did find some snow on the back side,,,,,, But not worth the ride yet.. MANY rocks,,, Miles of riding on pavment. Roads not covered yet.

gas is heavier than 6lbs, about 6.5 lbs per gallon from the pump in california

yep, i've always went by 6.5 lbs per gallon.
depending on octane and temp, 6.5 is a pretty good avg in most cases.

and thats why you weigh it wet. ;P so there is no bs!

nice lookin sled.

Where did you unload Kevin? In a week or two I need to go break in the new motor, and need some "road reports"! Is Wes doing you any side panels to match the hood?

We drove the truck about 3 miles past the lodge till we got stuck,,, only drifts. then had to ride on pavement to lake Marie... Past lake Marie was kind of OK, but only cause they plowed a small berm on the side. Wes is doing a flame Felker sticker for my sled. He does have full wrap flames tho. I haven't got any Albany reports yet.

Thanks..... I didn't want to be accused of BSing anybody.. I filled my sled yesterday & added 5 more gal, so I think my figures were quit conservetive.

I weighed my Apex also...

Early this fall I weighed my Apex, full and ready to ride. It only weighed 2,954lbs. It did cause the trusses in my garage to collapse from holding all that weight. :D

Nice looking XP!!

I find it funny that the Doo dry weight figure for that sled (right off their website) is 439 lbs. I like that doo's dry weights always seem so low but are out to lunch.

My TM10 is now sitting at 567 lbs full of fluids ready to ride. The track (70 lbs) and the extra weight of the turbo killed me....not really when you consider over 300 hp at mild boost:) My 1.89 lb per hp looks pretty good compared to the XP at 3.23 lb per hp except the cost of fuel.

so we are talking 11 pounds diff.......

lets see.......How much does a gallon of oil weigh?... and how much does the coolant in the sled weigh..... just curious!

I'll bet they were pretty close with the published #'s

With the Timbersled front end, Floats up front, lightweight batter, CR Racing hood and headlight bracket, this Apex is now sitting at under 615 lbs full. Not bad for fourstroke reliability.
