My new sled debate

My king cat needs to go away, so its time to buy a new sled.My debate is between an 08 m1000 with a power claw for $8999+ tax or an 09 m8 for about $500 more. I'm kinda leaning towards the m8 because of all the 09 changes.I read that the dry weight of the 09 m8 162" is about 468# dry.
What is the 08 m1000 162" dry weight? Also what is the hp difference?
One or the other, help me decide.

haven't been on an 09 yet.. but I love my 08... pulls like a mac truck, coming from the king you shouldn't notice the weight everyone talks about... the power just keeps on coming... but it sounds like everyone is loving the new 09's.. the electronic reverse is pretty sweet deal... really can't go wrong! Happy sledding...

Very happy with my 09 M8 162 Snopro

Runs very well

The M8 is so easy to throw around compared to the old King Cat chassis. You will be amazed. The M1000 is not as nimble IMO.

I think the M8 would easily outclimb a King Cat

Just my 2 cents

09 M1000 no regrets. Worth the extra money over the 08 in my opinion. 22 lbs lighter over the 08.

Anyone know were a guy can get a good deal on a new 09 M8 Sno Pro? I am in Billings, MT. Any help would be awesome.

you'd be surprised. Those old Kings can climb! They'll wear you down faster than Chuck Norris in a cage match though.
