My MTX...

The track is fine sitting in the garage but add about 100 km track speed and see where the track is. They tend to ballon outwards at speed. My buddies stock Nytro went through hyfax like crazy, but mine on boost never hardly touched the hyfax. things change with speed.

I certainly hope that I never see 100 MPH with the suspension full compressed!

well considering 100 MILES per hour is 160 KILOMETERS per hour...prob not much of a concern.

62 MPH (100 KPH) is prob something you'll see pretty easily on a boosted sled shooting a hill...rutted up with tracks, etc...
i'd imagine a stocker could do 60+ np down the trail..

..just trying to keep good info here. ;)

After the beat down from Alaskan I am not sure I should say anything but hear goes.

Nice sled man Love the exhaust.:D

I should mention that it's also for sale, make an offer.

Nice ride Heath. Are you going to have a ride this year if it sells? I am interested in the nytro and phazer but have not been able to get over the weight factor of the Nytro for my style of riding. May never notice it but I bet digging it out I would.

How can the track possibly go higher than the upper rear wheels and axle? Seems to me that if the muffler is above the track, it won't matter...

Track goes WAY over the idlers
RX1 and Vector hit the heat exchanger, Apex had to have a skid pan installed
Nytro is the same Skid
Like I say, put something under the rear of the rail or put the ski's on something and then bottom the skid

Yeah, I'll pick something up and start my next project. You honestly don't feel it when riding. Yes, it's heavy when stuck, but they all are. You'd be really hard pressed to get stuck too much here...not that the trenching issues have been addressed.

How much room did the RX1 and Vector have between the track and tunnel?

I tried to tell him the same thing and he got all pizzy on me, so I let it go. He can find out the hard way. I'd like to be there when that fancy muffler ends up at the front of his tunnel!!!!!!:eek::D:D

Are you trying to say that I got all "pizzy"? That "fancy" muffler cost me $35. Trial and error is how we come up with new things around here. I do appreciate your input, but I have done the 4x4 trick with the stock weak springs and I still had the clearance. I can't can't get these 2100 springs to come close to bottoming on the low setting.

LMAO....sorry man, I'm just old school I guess. Not trying to offend anyone, if you got the cash that's good, just like to see mods that don't cost wheel barrow loads of benjamins.....beat down...lol..that's funny!
On another note I do think the track might rub, I have one under my Apex but it doesn't hurt anyhting just a few black marks on the mufler body. Oh and I do have 1-1/2" , 5/16 screws in all the fingers of my Maverick track to stiffen the paddles, they just scratch it a bit...LOL. Helps stiffen up the worthless Maverick.....

Ok Take a break from wrenching for just a minute. Go inside and put on any sled video you own and watch what the track does when a sled does a wheelie. Notice how the track pulls away from the rails? It's also doing this on the inside of your tunnel. It has nothing to do with bottoming out. I'm just trying to help you out here. As i've been there done it before. Hope we can still be friends!!!

I take mine out west as well.

And here is a Grand Marias pic from last year. This guy is 6'2" and is standing where his sled went throgh. We did some digging on that trip with our 144's and one 155". I have been tossing around the idea of building an IQR mtn but really don't have the time.

Yeah, other than a trip to the Snowies and to Canada, I rode almost exclusively out of GM. I saw you guys in December at the parking lot in the plains when I was getting my IQ dialed in.

When I did my RX1 pre turbo I had an under tunnel on it with at least 6" of clearance. The pipe had a turn down on it which hit on the first day out and removed 2 paddles off of my then brand new Maverick. Cut them off just like a laser. It didn't contact until I hit some huge whoops in the trail and the rear of the skid compressed and the front of the skid dropped. Presto Contact. Yours will be close.
