My knob broke off

i personally think that looks like a cheap horrible beacon and way to turn it off and on i mean if your in an avalanche what if it gets turned off while in the avy i have a sos way better beacon in my opinion sorry but just the way it looks to me

SOS = single antenna analogue beacon
DTS Tracker = multiple antenna digital

SOS are low end beacons, and perform as such. DTS is a way better unit.... stronger tx strength, sensitive rx. way easier search mode.

but you are entitled to your opinion.

send it out Sami, I'm sure it would be cheap and good for a spare once you get the Tracker II.

sami.. played with the ortovox s1 up in revy.. thats the one i will buy next.. i have the ortovox D3 now.. its nice.. but like the display on the s1.. talk with duke.. he has one..

Samurai - just send it back. Mine did the same thing and they replaced it free of charge, no questions asked, best customer service I have had in a long time. I dealt with Kyle at BCA, sent me a brand new beacon, had it in less than 7 days. Make sure when you send the old one back that you mark the package "returning for warranty work" so that Customs doesn't ding you for duty that shouldn't be paid.
