My kid! At it again!

I know where you are coming from. I have a 4 yr old riding a kittyKat that is fearless on it. Hard to disaplin (sp) on the same things I did/have done.

Keep um safe and let them enjoy the pleasure of riding

LOL and true about the couch potato playstation playing kids, nothing wrong with video games in moderation though. I have a big project in mind for him....if he does it I am gonna tell him I will cut a week off.

A week sounds about right to me! Friday night to Friday night, back on the snow Saturday morning!:D Glad he is not hurt!

A guy got killed some years back up here around Grace. Night riding, hit a canal and stuck it into the bank. I'll see if I can dig up some info on the accident so you can have him read it.

Dang...that scares me! Ya that would be good for him to read.

Kerk, I hear ya....ya he does need the pleasure of riding....he loves it.

My biggest fear in life is my son may do some of the stupid things I have done. My dad had alot of patience when I started riding from blowing belts to being hit by a car on sled which broke my friends leg he never really said too much. He would just help me fix it and send me on my way. I 33 now and sometimes I look at things I have done recently and I just shake my head at myself and think you are a dumba$$. One of the last really stupid things I did was ~12 years ago. Jumping a diversion dike on a Polaris Explorer 400 4 wheeler with my buddy on back in a couple inches of snow. When we landed he piled me over the handlebars. Knocked the wind out of me. Stepped off how far with no tracks and it was like 70 ft. Stupid.

Whatcha need is a helmet cam! :)

Glad he's ok!

I would have had a hard time not laughing while trying to punish the little bugger! ;)

Here's another rule to teach him - Take pictures first, then get the sled unstuck! :D

Would love to see the lawn dart photos! :beer;

May not want to tell him about Levi's double-backflip just yet. :beer;

haha, no doubt! Or a black box! LMAO Yikes! ...and oh ya I had to hold it in! I was mad at first...then I was thinking damn, you crazy little sh*t....and had to hold it in. I wanted to say, "damn you almost made it crazy boy." LMAO

damn those are some stories sodfarmer....did your friend's parents get pretty mad? ...and ya that was pretty insane what you did on your 4-wheeler! DAYUUM!

LMAO! Hope there isn't a next time, but I am confident there will be.

When I was younger, Ma and Pa bought me a Yamaha mini enduro. That summer we went to see Evil jump at Minnesota Dragways in Minneapolis. Wellll, I took my bike out and crashed it hard jumping. Grounded from it cause they came home and the forks were bent up. I think that they were mad because I could have killed myself and not because of the bike.

So, I have a question, when you were young, did you do the same things? If so, sorry buddy, genetics are taking place. ;) I would teach him how to approach things and nail them. cause this aint gonna stop.

MPS, my godson lives and breathes sleds. 10 years old. he's taken all the sled courses. Wears ALL the safety gear Uncle Doug got him even just to ride in the yard. started on and still loves best his 440 Jag that he restored. goofy stuff like painting the hood, chrome paint the shocks and a Rock Star 2 sticker on it. He even polished the tunnel. lol. He did new head gasket this fall. He has a 370 bought for him but on longer days he rides that SabreCat now and leads on 100 mile trail rides, never sitting. He is safe and good and I AM proud! point. he loves that Jag. (no seat installed ;) ) He gets to go to the golf course alone and with other kids when he asks. he has worked on it and would not consider hurting it. Pride of ownership.

thanks for sharing your stories. I love it!

Just make sure they are safe! And just remember it won't be long before he's old enough to go riding in the mountains with you, and he will pull out your old a$$ :p I got just a call this morning that my nephew cut off his pinky with a skillsaw, he's around 12 years old :mad: No idea what he was doing using one! Got to be really careful.....

Nice Doug...440 Jag is a good little sled. Thats awesome he has done all that to his sled! Rock Star 2 sticker! LMAO! That is priceless. My kid has Rocket Ryan on his. Ya know...ever since we put that sticker on...he is turned it up! That is it! The sticker is coming off! LOL My kid is 9...he has usually been extremely safe till now. He has gotten some big balls all the sudden!

LOL Gmaredd, no doubt! He is gonna jump that canal and head down to the Snake and try to jump that. We aren't in Twin Falls though...that is the famous Kienevil spot. But, ya I can't be too hard on him for trying to acquire some skills!

my dad used to have no fear when he was young and racing. now he is pretty cautious and gives me heck for the **** i do. He would always say "Do as I say and not as i do" lol

LMAO....ya I have calmed way down since my 2 boys came along. Having kids usually does that to people. You won't see me attempting Mt. Jefferson or something like that. However, I did roll my sled over top of me last week....so I can still be a dumb a$$. :o

Bah... Personally I think the punishment's a little harsh for just having some fun.

Get him the right gear (Helmet, obviously; I ride with and recommend a vest and knee protection as well) then let him wreck the sh*t out of it. When he wrecks, pull it into the garage and wrench on it till she's good to go again.

I don't see the difference between what he's doing and what I do, aside from a few years age difference and not having my parents yelling at me about the stupid sh*t I do :D

My friends parents were actually pretty cool about it. We were crossing a road that was white and snowpacked and the car that hit us was white so I didn't see it. The funny thing in retrospect was the emt's ended up working on my buddy and the old man because they thought he was going to have a heart attack. I ended up having to 30 hrs community service for that stunt. The sled just drove away. It was a Motoski Ultrasonic and was such a pos that you really couldn't tell it had been hit by a car.

30 hours of community service? WTH for? It was an unintentional accident. Ya your dad was liable for the car's damages and thats the end of it. Some jurisdictions amaze me.

Mule...ya he was a helmet of course. I am trying to find him a beacon for next year. I am going to get him a better track and roll his chain case so he can come deeper into the mountains with me. Ya I need to make him wear his hockey gear. LMAO

I got ticketed for failure to yield or something like that since it was on a city street.
